Curious if anyone had gone from older 10th gen to 2020, specifically hatchback Sport - is the sound deadening and 8 speaker stereo a nice improvement? My 2017 has 84k miles so might upgrade to a white 2020 6MT Sport. So many little improvements on the car compared to mine.

2020 Si sedan is an option but prefer the hatch for practicality and looks, the lack of moonroof for headroom, and the better mileage of the Sport.

The Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line lacks the safety features unless you get the automatic, and I think rear legroom is worse.

Still surprising that it doesn't come with basic 2020 features like heated side mirrors, variable intermittent wipers or LaneWatch.

I'm assuming it also still has the sucky 1 amp USB port? Mine takes like 4 hrs of driving to charge my phone, lol.

But hey, you get a lot of bang for the buck with a Sport.

I "sidegraded" from 2018 EX Hatchback to a 2020 Sport Hatchback, primarily because I'd come to like the sensing features that my wife's 2019 Sport Sedan has, and also the leather armrests & steering wheel make for more comfortable driving. I never used the heated mirrors, and very rarely used the sunroof and heated seats, so I don't really miss those features (I do somewhat miss the lanewatch camera, but I'm getting by just fine without it).

The interior noise level does indeed seem lower, though that could just be placebo effect. Can't really comment on the audio improvements, because it's got the same system my EX had. I'd imagine going from an earlier Sport to the current model, CarPlay/Android Auto would be the most noticeable feature for you.

Note, there are apparently a couple of errors on Honda's published trim specs for the Sport HB. First, to your question of the USB port, it lists the Sport HB as only having a 1.0 amp front console port (and no center console port), but that is not the case... mine has the same configuration as the EX and above have, with a 1.5 amp front console port and 1.0 amp center console port. Similarly, they list the rear camera as just having "guidelines" (like the LX), but it does indeed have dynamic guidelines like the EX and above.

awesome thanks, those are two little features I do want so that helps.

I might do Katzkin leather this time around if I get a Sport.

I upgraded from a 2017 Hatchback Sport to the 2020 Hatchback Sport. I had added in tweeters in the front and a 10 inch under the seat powered subwoofer to my 2017 and it was nice. But I really like having Apple Carplay and the increase in speakers. It does ride a bit quieter but you still can hear some road noise from the back. I miss the subwoofer and thinking of installing another one in this car.

Thanks - yeah I had a 2020 Sport sedan loaner and thought the stereo sounded definitely better with the tweeters. Maybe a little too bright but that's probably adjustable.

Now that Massachusetts has a new law that you can't touch your phone except the nav, Apple Carplay is almost a must. Don't feel like installing an aftermarket deck in my car after 84k miles, lol.

I went from a 17 Sport hatch 6MT to a 20 Sport hatch CVT and I love it. There are times I wish I had gone with another 6MT but I am getting older and shifting isn't that fun anymore. The upgraded head unit, digital dash display, and better stereo and interior are all better things than the 17. You can also Honda hack the head unit and have nav through it instead of using carplay or Android Auto as the unit has GPS connection but no nav app.
