Hybrid Shifter installed! Anybody else hear a squeak?

Whatsup gentlemen! SO i just recently installed my hybrid shifter, and it absolutely love it. However i happened to notice theres a small squeak sometimes when shifting between the lower gears. I know its not the shifter assembly itself as Ive narrowed down the sound coming from the actual ball mechanism that sits in the shifter. Does anyone know of a safe lubricant to apply? Would a drop of WD40 do the trick? THanks!

Had mine in for 4 months and no squeeks. I greased that ball during my install even though it was not mentioned in the instructions.

No squeak from the shifter but squeak from the shift boot rubbing due to the decrease in shifter height which causes the boot to be scrunched down.

Shift boot rubbing against what? Not sure how a material such as the shift boot would make a squeak noise

No squeak here.. but my shift rod keep swivel toward left side.. i reset it .. tighten it..and it gradually move to left after 3 days ..
Now i have done the adjustment 3 to 4 times already .. it is very annoying anyone experience this problem and have possible solution?

lithium grease should fix your problem wd40 will dry up quick
