Me too, exhaust comes in tomorrow. Hope to install over the weekend if it warms up.

Nice! I'm still unsure when I'll install it. Hopefully I can get around to it Sunday, but we'll see.

I keep forgetting to ask you, are you on a stock wheel setup? I only ask since that is probably one of the major factors that affects steering. With the Type R, putting the torque steer aside, a thicker tire wall in inevitably cause the steering to feel more mushy. A stiffer sidewall can help this, but the fact that rubber will generally always give more than aluminum means that you will have a mushier feeling steering. The upsides to a smaller rim setup is that the mass is more centered towards the center of the wheel and in some cases rotational mass is shaved resulting in more wheel horse power, responsiveness in acceleration and braking. All things perfect steering response would be improved as well, but that is outmatched by the softer tire wall. Steering feedback is also lost as well because the tires absorb more of the feedback that would otherwise be sent to the steering column.

I get the same feel regardless of setup. My 19" oz ultraleggera w 245 35 19 give the same straight line feedback as oem continentals. I'm going for another wheel alignment once it warms up in a few weeks to see if they find anything. I've been twice before and all was in spec. I recently saw a YouTube video from straightpipes review of the M2 and they describe a similar feeling. I rotate tires as required and check pressure almost every weekend.

2020 Civic Type R stock knob. Weighs in at 8.1oz.
T,
So knob got heavier from ‘19 at 6.349 ounce’s or 180 grams to ‘20 of 8.1 ounces or 229.6 grams. That’s still fairly light compared to most aftermarket knobs.

I got mine installed correctly now (duh). The BSN Raceseng Stratos knob weighs 15.75 oz. or 491g.

In a couple weeks this boot will be replaced a complete assembly with red Alcantara and the matching center console side edge trim in red-AL from Overland Designs.

I have charcoal dash mat so no instrument cluster brow trim for me. Might think about the matching A-pillar trim.

I recently purchased a Greddy exhaust from these guys and the experience was excellent to say the least. I ordered it friday around 3am and it was delivered today (next day). Free shipping and no sales tax.

I did shop around a few places where price was cheaper but they added tax, shipping or both.

Worth checking them out next time you're shopping.

Can't speak for Ohio specifically, but if they didn't charge sales tax, I'm pretty sure you're still supposed to pay it when you file your taxes...definitely supposed to in Indiana and I'm guessing it's the same anywhere that has sales tax.

Went for a longer canyon run (yesterday and today) with the newly installed AWE Touring exhaust. Video from yesterday:

TS5's Mounted and balanced. Waiting on Kics neo Chrome lug nuts to arrive, to throw them on the car. Discount Tire actually did a great job and even used black weights instead of the silver ones.

So after going to 3 muffler shops to get my exhaust put in I decided to do it myself. Why?

Sorry but each place was the same old story. Some haggard looking dude wreaking of cigarettes, filthy as fk and one guy even put out his cigarette in his hand before trying to get in my car. No thanks, I'm out!

It's freezing outside but I'm half way done. I did buy a set of pliers for the exhaust hangers which made things easier.

I'll be back!
