Only twice, and only when going to ACC mode so I've been lucky so fsr in that regard. More annoying issue currently for me is the third vrake light, stupid thing keeps coming loose. :banghead:
Whatever compound they used on mine last time worked. They applied it and taped that cover all the way across with masking tape for 24 hours and it has stayed ever since!

I've been experiencing a very frustrating issue with my new Touring edition. Basically, about 50% of the time I turn the car on, my audio system pushes loud, static-y pops through my speakers. I've spoken to two different dealership tech guys, and both of them are at a loss as to what may be causing it. My local dealership has requested that I leave the car with them so they can take a more in-depth look at what may be causing the issue, but I figured I'd post here to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue.

Once this issue begins, it persists even when the car is turned off and back on. I've tried a factory reset of the head unit, as well as soft resets using the long press of the Audio Power button. This issue occurs regardless of whether bluetooth is connected. It also occurs when the audio is off on boot up. It doesn't seem to matter if I boot into Android Auto or not. Basically, it occurs what seems like randomly.

Needless to say this is a VERY frustrating issue, and it worries me that it might be causing damage to my speakers. The popping noise is at full volume regardless of where the volume is adjusted to.

The only "solution" I've come across is to flush the ECU (disconnecting the power from the battery and touching the positive wire to the negative wire). This was a suggestion offered by the dealer I purchased the car from. While this does seem to fix the issue on the next start up, it flushes all of the settings for every electronic in the car. This means I have to drive the vehicle up to 12 mph to allow for recalibration and then power cycle the car so all the warning lights turn off. Obviously, this is not an acceptable solution to the issue, and the effects do not last long. Last night, when I turned the car off and back on to remove the warning lights, the loud popping noise came back on that start up!

Please let me know if any of you have experienced a similar issue, and if so, what did you/the dealer do to fix it?
I am having this same issue!! So frustrating!! Honda is acting like they've never heard of this problem before, but apparently this is a known problem! I've had the audio update- did not fix the problem!! Has anyone found a solution? Honda of America told me there is nothing that can be done "until the problem is consistent "!! I just purchased the car 3 weeks ago!

I was having the same problem with it when it was about 100 degrees plus in SoCal a couple of weeks ago. The velcro pieces detached from the glass. I used crazy glue and let it cure over night. No issue since.

If worst comes to worst I'll switch over to crazy glue myself. Did you pick a specific one or any kind will work?

I used Gorilla Super Glue. I would have used the original Crazy Glue but I ran out. Good luck!

Using this stuff for its high heat resistance. When it fully cures it sorta feels like sticky rubber. Still find it stupid that this wasnt caught during QA. Im not anal about most things but this seems like something that they should have known about.

Thank you much!! :) I will call tomorrow armed with this information and hope they don't act stupid.
I too have experienced the loud, popping noise 3 times since buying my new blue ex-t coupe just 2 weeks ago! I did turn off the neural setting today after reading these threads and so far, no annoying popping-we shall see. I too will lodge a complaint with Honda. It is such a bummer to deal with for a car that should be so reliable and stress free!

I have not heard it since I turned the neural setting off (about a week and two days ago) which is good but it does suck that you cannot use the surround sound like you should be able to. I listen to music every time I am in the car and usually pretty loud. It means a lot to me. Anyways, congrats on the new blue EX-T coupe, I got the same one! :)

BTW my dealer said he was going to look into this but has yet to get back to me.

No popping today either so there is hope and good to see you have gone over a week without hearing it! I love listening to music too but so far, I don't notice a big difference since I turned off that setting (did notice the difference when I played from IHeart radio). I went from a car that had a nice Bose system in it and this one isn't as good but I love this Civic and this blue color! :) I think it is so sharp. I feel like a fish in an aquarium as I get so many looks! I actually cancelled a service appt. just this week once I saw someone's post about the neural setting because I didn't want to deal with all the drama with the dealer and after seeing other people's negative experiences so far.

My wife had the popping issue a few days ago. Our Touring is only a month old with less 1000 miles on it. How is it possible that this has been an issue since production started and my touring was just built less than 2 months ago and the problem still exists? That is ridiculous. We got rid of a BMW that had a bunch of issues and we are already on our second issue with our Touring. Not happy.

Exactly! It would be more tolerable if the car were older with many miles even though I have a 95 DelSol that I've owned for 8 years with 200,000 miles on it and the only electrical related issue I've had is having the map sensor go! I love all the new technology in the new cars but if we can't rely on it, I'd rather have a simple, after market $300 radio with bluetooth like in my DelSol that I've never had issues with! Honda needs to step up and recognize the sheer volume of issues we are all having with the new Civics. I dread going into the dealer when the popping decides to come back (so far, after almost 2 weeks with the neural setting off, no popping...)
