What is invoice price?
$34,611 including destination
Cars.com
Autotrader.com

Only email dealers. Don't give phone number (you'll get bombarded with nagging phone calls)

State your intent and send the same message to each of them (copy/paste it): You're shopping all dealers with type r's in whatever mile radius of you home (200, 500, whatever). At or below invoice is your goal. Ask them to please breakout and itemize all fees. Give them your zip code for taxes. You don't want to waste their time or yours. Simple message. You'll talk to them or come in person once price is settled.

Fair and respectful way to communicate. Everything is documented for comparison too.

The final dollar amount or bottom number is all that matters. Don't think 'payments' or discuss payments just yet. You only care about what everything adds up to. Then discuss down payment, trade-in, financing.

If you know your credit score, having knowledge of what rate you deserve is great too. Call banks/credit unions for what's being offered. Dealerships do not need to give you lowest rate you qualify for. They're paid incentives not to. They'll try to beat other available rates you can get.

I have a line on a 2019 Championship White CTR here in lower Michigan at MSRP or lower possibly, but 100% certainly not above MSRP and no addon bullshit. PM me if interested and I can pass on the info.

I won't be surprised if the stealership plans to mark up the 2020 model. Won't it be better to look into a slightly used CTR? (20ish K miles) since those are around 29k-33k around my area.
I personally got burned on two used type R(one had subframe damage, another had bent control arm) and had to return the car two separate times and order a new one. Some of the type R for sale clearly seemed abused at track(I live close to buttonwillow) based on looking at damages that typically occur when you run off or having excessive tire rubber stuck under the car...

Dealerships in my area were just being an ass or didn’t have the color I want(Red). I almost gave up and bought a used M2 but ended up getting a red one shipped from South Hills Honda in PA and still ended up paying less OTD than dealerships in my area. I don’t know why that Jon guy is trolling on here but Jared and Evan was pretty straight forward, I got the price I want, and it took about 10 days from start to finish to get my car delivered to CA.

Yea... Jared is not straight forward. Tries to manipulate on here to benefit himself. His dealership is within 20 mi of my house, MSRP there. Dealership 4 mi from my house sold me my 2019 for $200 below invoice. Jared got insecure I guess with the locality of such a deal, called me a liar on the deal and created a fake email account to try to fact check me, emailing my dealer. Nothing is right or respectable about any of that manipulation he was trying to spread. He's the troll, if anything.

Sure MSRP + shipping may have beneficial for you. Doesn't mean the guy is a honest sales person or member on this forum. Shameful

Just purchased 19 CTR from Davenport Honda in Rocky Mount NC. The dealership was great and the process was easy, Inv+fee+tax. No add on, no pressure selling us ext-warranty or anything. The whole process was the most pleasant and I was allowed to test drive the car as well. Will go back to them if I am to purchase Honda vehicle in the future.

Thanks for you business my friend!!! Jon is just a winner clearly! He wins at life and everything he does will always be better than someone else lol..... but he doesn't know that you didn't pay MSRP and that we shipped a vehicle across country in a little over a week... Impressive in my book. Making another happy CTR owner is our goal always. If you think what you paid is fair that is literally all that matters, not what anyone else says they paid. We saved you money and got a badass car shipped to your door... Congrats again my man hope you love it!

Im in the market for a 2019 in the Northern Virginia area, but am willing to look in MD, VA, NC. Anybody know of a good dealer in that region to check on pricing with?
Colonial Honda in Colonial Heights Va sells their CTR’s at MSRP.

Does anyone know any good dealers in Utah or neighbor states that sells for MSRP. Everyone seems to want 3k-10k over. Im like the car has been out for three years.

Welcome to Utah. You know it's bad when you have to drive to California to get a decent deal on a CTR! Recommend buying back east and either flying there to pick it up or have it shipped to you.

Yep. Colorado is the same. Limited supply and MSRP+ seems to be the norm.

Jump on the common internet sites and find a better deal. Ship or drive. I shipped mine from FL to CO (shipped car directly to PPF shop in Denver). Easy transaction.

Excuse my ignorance but how would one go about transporting from across the country and how much would that cost?

A lot of folks have had it done on this forum. It seems to me that most folks have found that the selling dealership has a transporting connection, though I'm sure you can arrange for it without the dealerships connection. I believe the typical fee is ~$1000. If you start looking to buy remotely, I'd mention that to the dealers that you are trying to get it shipped.

You'll need to shop transporters. Some are enclosed v open. Some run routine routes through or near where you'll be needing the car transported to/from, this has the biggest impact on pricing.

Some friends will ship their cars around the country and utilize different carriers based on where the event is at:
-Intercity Lines Inc.
-Applewood Motorcar Transport
-Pilot Transport
-Reliable Carriers
