Pretty much the gist of it. Only reason I could think of otherwise is being able to utilize the logging app (if we can’t get it on pre 2020 models). If the sensing is that important I dunno I’d almost be inclined to consider an Accord instead.
I absolutely love my FK8 but I have to be 100% honest.....we bought my wife a new Accord Sport 2.0 10 speed automatic the same week we bought my car and that is an outstanding cruiser with stupid acceleration for a big, comfortable sedan. They are no joke!

Yup, they are insanely comfortable and extremely quick with the 10 speed. Coworker has one and it’s kept up with my CTR off a friendly dash from the stoplight.

I won’t be “upgrading”, but finally will buy one. Here’s looking at you limited edition... nostalgia buy from my PY ITR.

It’s either that or an M2CS.

Can’t help but love these limited run overhyped cars.

I won’t be buying it. I got my 2018 for MSRP. Already shed 40lbs from the wheels, have Cup2 tires, deleted the rear wiper, have the black chrome CIVIC badge, and changed the rear motor mount. Don’t want Honda Sensing and don’t want synthetic engine sounds. If I sell my Type-R it will be because Honda releases something new and special. Think redesigned S2000 with Type-R engine! Or the next gen Civic Type-R. This Limited Edition doesn’t do anything for me.

It’s a definite “no” for me, too. I like a few of the updates, as well as the Boost Blue color, but my 2018 is paid for and has less than 8K miles. I will wait for something better, possibly the next gen CTR.

No plans to trade-in. I still love my car 100% stock and I'm coming up on 2 sweet years of ownership. I do like the idea of sensing on the R, but I can also appreciate not having it on my car.

When I need my rotors replaced anyways, I'll probably swap in the new brakes. If the grill is drop-in, I'll probably snag one at some point. Otherwise, I think I picked a winner and the 2020 does not diminish that at all.

Dont kid yourself lol.

Those nannies can be turned off.
It’s so much better that Honda, in all of its marketing regarding the new and improved CTR, doesn’t tout a single increase in performance numbers. Lol.

The only thing more impressive than the negligible performance increases is Honda’s marketing department able to fool people.

Bought my 19 brand new in April of last year. No plans to upgrade to a 2020.... BUT I may try and take advantage of any dealers trying to get rid of 19’s. I really wanted Championship White and settled for a good deal on a black one. I’ll jump on a white 19 if it falls into my lap so I’m hoping the 20’s are popular!

Want that white 2019 CTR dropped in your lap right now?

So, now that Honda has let all the tricks out the bag for the 2020 Type R, us current owners have a choice to make.

So, who's keeping theirs and who is going straight to the dealership to pickup a 2020 or 2021 the moment they can?

Me personally? I'm keeping mine, mainly because I still enjoy how it drives, I've gone without the gizmos for 2 years, and I'd like to not make another bad financial decision for once. Besides...it's not like the previous versions drive any worse!:headbang:

What say you, fellow FK8 owners?
I waited long enough for my 2018, and I still haven’t been able to push the car to its limit.

I'm keeping my '19 that I've had for 1 year now. As much as I'd love the honda sensing suite and improvements to suspension+brakes (and fake vents), it isn't worth losing any amount of money that I would on the trade in, especially because I got PPF and Ceramic coating on my 19. My current plan is hang on to the 19 for 5+ years, and when I upgrade to something else/get a second car, it's gonna be electric. So once electrics are more affordable and solidly get 300-350+ miles on a charge, that's when I'll likely make the jump.
