The more I read about this setup the less I liked it? Yes it's convenient but there is some logic to the faster flow being better to get particulates out with the oil you're dumping. With the slow flow from the fumoto I'm going to pass on this setup and just do it without. GL those with but I think faster flow is better option than this.
I dont think this is a problem personally, especially if the car is warmed up before draining the oil. The particulates will be stirred up and the oil will flow easier when hot/warm. Any particulates will otherwise be captured in the filter.

Had this on my lexus GS at 95k miles and it didnt burn a lick of oil when i sold it at 124k. Changed the oil about every 5k miles with the fumoto.

edit: also as a bmw owner you might be familiar with vacuuming oil out with a pump through the dipstick. Super popular at least with E46 owners.

Thanks for the promo! was gonna place an order on Amazon, good thing I saw this beforehand.

Also what tool are you guys using to remove the oil filter? Seems like its a tight spot for a filter wrench. Any recommendations?
I just used a strap styled wrench I had laying around. Something like this

I assume the sale is over? (Monday Feb 24th) . I didn't see a way to enter a promo code on the Fumoto website.

I just placed my order and code is still working. When you go to your "cart" look for option asking if you have a code.

I use the Honda tool that fits over the end of the filter. It can be used with your typical 3/8" ratchet or it can be wrenched off using the hex portion. I attached a picture using the same tool that just happens to fit on my Kawasaki Ultra 310r Jetski oil filter as well!

Do you happen to know the size by any chance? I have one that fits the larger filter on my S2K but I wasn't sure what size would fit the CTR.

Thanks for the link Hermann. The cheapo oil cap wrenches I have from track auto are garbage and cannot grab the filter head, hence the pliers, heh. I’d prefer that nice cap!
