Sounds like you need some cooling upgrades![/QUOTE]
It's in the works. Oil cooler, radiator, some ducting and vents. Just getting my car ready for this years track abuse. It was like driving a CTR, go a few laps and do a cool down lap.

My car is on map 3 already when I turn it on and sport mode 100% of the time.
Do you run the TSP with the VSA off or on? I’ve been running it turned on since I don’t know how it may affect daily drivability if I turn it off.

Just trying to get other perspectives on how often I should even be running map 3. I only run map 3 + sport during night drives (no traffic) and there's a freeway ramp coming up or I just want to send it. I'll use map 1 and no sport mode in traffic and map 2 when traffic dies down but there's still cars (I may or may not go into sport depending on the road I'm on). What map do you guys use and when do you use it? I'm a bit more on the conservative side so I only like running map 3 when I need/want the power.
Once you go 3 you can’t go to anything else. The difference is way too disappointing. I’ve had my stock clutch slip a few times on a long trip to California, but I know it was my own fault for letting it slip (being lazy and not downshifting going uphill in 5th gear). Since then i haven’t had it slip. I am rarely in sport mode and I rarely redline the car. Just be responsible and everything should be fine.

2019 si with over 23k and I been tuned since little over 1k miles or so. Always on map 3 and and sport mode on when I get in the car. Haven't had one issue yet. I'm stock as far as bolt ons.

I run the inverted tune, basically slots 1/3 are swapped so it defaults to the "hot" tune when I start up since I don't leave the Ktuner V2 plugged in (btw, if you leave your car sit for a week with it plugged in, expect a dead battery). I like having the power at the press of a pedal, but rarely use Sport mode. There's a significant jump from normal to sport mode and normal is fine for daily driving use. I don't have any clutch slip issues in normal mode. I did when I flashed the tune initially, but part of that was learning how to drive with it. Either that or my clutch/fly-wheel have "bedded" in a little more and I rarely feel the clutch slip, even in colder temps. In the cold, with sport mode, the acceleration is pretty violent and I have pretty bad wheel hop.

Omg the ktuner drains battery even when the car is off??? No wonder my battery died so quickly!

I run map 3 all day everyday. I run normal mode for about 10 min to get the car warmed up then I switch to sport. The only reason I would ever drop to a lower map is to teach someone how to drive my car or something. Since I have my retrofit clutch, I don't worry about my clutch slipping. Even on a stock clutch, you can keep it on 3 and simply control how much boost you push with your foot. Since I stay in map 3 i can have all the power or none of it. Don't have to dick around with changing maps when i need to quickly pull around a swerving semi. Drop it and go.

I'm in Normal map 2 all the time, occasionally switching to sport mode, but you guys are making me feel as though I should be in 3... I may try it. I also, currently, have snow tires on, that seem pretty slidey in dry weather, so I don't dog it too much.

I think I read somewhere that an update made sure it wouldn't use battery power when the car was off, but perhaps it didn't work?

I have been using moderate AVSA for the past couple of months. It's really improved acceleration in the cooler weather when my summer tires aren't as soft and the car is making a bit more torque. Without it, with VSA off (no pedal dance) I'd get loads of wheel spin. Now... it just does it's deal with timing and the car accelerates as well as it's FWD platform will allow on it's present tires. I've never quantified it and I doubt it's markedly different than without AVSA... probably still a 6-ish 0-60 at best... but at least I'm not losing traction or trying to do my best impression of an old RSX w/wheel hop. I can just put the pedal to the floor and the car will do as best as it can w/o breaking loose.

Does it? I have mine plugged up 24/7 no issues
This was about a year and a half ago shortly after getting the car. I was driving my S2000 for about a week during the summer and let my Si sit about 7 days with the KTuner plugged in. When I went to start the car it was D.E.A.D. Didn't know what it was so I let it be. Some time later it sat for about 5 days and had a weak battery. Thought it might be the KTuner so I tried unplugging it before I knew it was going to sit for about 7 days. Came back after it sitting with no KTuner plugged in and it started up just fine.

I have updated the KTuner about 6 months ago when I put the inverted tune on but didn't leave it in the car. For me, I rarely looked at the parameters much as and nothing has really changed since I put the TSP Tune on and all parameters were within limits or returned to normal after some boost times.

I think I read somewhere that an update made sure it wouldn't use battery power when the car was off, but perhaps it didn't work?
I'll have to look into this. Like I mentioned above, I haven't updated it in a while, but I'll look through the change logs to see when they addressed it. Might try it with it plugged in again.

I’m new to the ktuner and running the tsp tune but how is it you get map 3 in the number 1 slot? Is it something you pay two step for or can you just change the location in the ktuner program?

You've gotta ask TSP to send you a new version with the reversed map slots.
