I get it all the time in my Si and Z. Never in my ST though - it looks too much like an econo-box...and I am totally fine with that. Feels way more stealth :D

Every car I've seen on the street burning oil was a BMW lol. Usually about ~10 years old
And I thought they were supposed to be the best for the ridiculous price you pay for them even the used ones
Oh wait “ preowned “ you don’t say used anymore ;)

Reading this thread is weird for me. I have a red si coupe and everyone ignores me. It made sense when I was stock, but I replaced the wheels and lowered the car about an inch and I still get ignored. I swear the only time someone has tried to race me was on my second day of owning my car and I was still learning how to drive stick lol.

Yeah that’s pretty strange usually every idiot want to race a red car years ago when I my red 83 mustang everybody was always trying to race me that’s another reason I didn’t get red in the civic it draws a lot of attention don’t get me wrong it looks great on the civic. There was a red coupe on the lot when I got my car a reason I didn’t get it was it had tan leather I’m wasn’t a fan of the tan

I never get raced in my Civic but never expected to. Don't get me wrong, I do like my Civic but it's no muscle/performance car. It's a very good handling compact car with a 4 cyl engine that's reasonably priced.

You would think the most obvious answer would be Z>Si>ST but deep down I don't feel that is the case. It's more like ST>Si>Z. Let me explain...

In terms of power, handling, and looks, the Z has it all. The problem is you can hardly ever utilize the full potential of it unless you are on a track. With the Si and ST, both are far easier to push to the limits on the street without having to worry about going to jail. Part of the reason I put the ST at the front is due to the way it feels when driving it. It's almost like a clown car - very small, very cheap, and extremely fun when chucking it into the turns. The other reason is because it flys so low under the radar. Most people with exception to the true car enthusiasts have no clue what it is capable of. Everyone else just sees it as another sub-compact that would primarily be used as a rental.

I will say the Si feels way more refined than the ST, almost like a luxury car. All of the ammenties that come with the Si makes it the better daily driver too. Out of the 3, its the only one with heated seats and I use them all the time!

At the end of the day though, if I could only have one, I am pretty certain it would be the Si (probably the sedan though for the practacility). The driving factor, gas mileage, reliability, low maintenance, and price are all solid reasons why I could live happily ever after with it. Hope I don't ever get to that point though because having multiple cars keeps me from getting bored with them

I can barely get an SI-hi from anyone in 10th gens other than type R's who usually like to wave where I live(Canada). All the older generation SI's always try to race or pull on me on lights. I usually dont dont engage rather just pull second gear for boost at which point I'm at the speed limit. I'm sure that will change when I get some good rubber and hondata... lol. However, there are so many cars that make an effort to blow me out of the water in city, ESPECIALLY Volkswagons.

Had another late gen Civic (sedan) doing this shit to me again today! I swear I'm not being paranoid. She came up behind me at a light. Then rolling on a stretch of road 60 mph limit. I'm on the right lane minding my biz but she starts tailgating me. There's traffic so I'm not gonna engage. Literally two seconds and she zips by on the left. That's cool. She passes me and another car then squeezes herself back into the right lane causing everyone behind her to brake. I find an opening to get left and start to roll and juuuuust as I near her rear bumper she pulls out (no signal) and slows me down. I see a puff of smoke come outta the single exhaust as she tries to gun it. I follow but keeping my distance. She's easily 10-15 mph over. I back off and ease my way back into the right lane. She does the same though the left lane is completely free in front of her. She brakes forcing all of us to brake. She was pulling some shit for whatever reason.

I gotta check around my hatch - maybe I have "F*** You, older Civics!" written on it somewhere that I didn't see and it's pissing off some peeps! lol.

Whenever I get the "Challenge" to race from a stop light -- I ALWAYS WIN :drive:

Because I pull away slowly, while they burn rubber and look stupid -- I know I would probably win and I am happy just knowing that .. but they will never know if they would have beaten me, because I did not race them.
stupid is as stupid does
As for myself - whenever it appears to be some idiot next to me at a stop, I simply stand still longer and let them be the fool. That way, they feel like an idiot thinking they had an instant race track win (Buuuahhhahahhaha)....
Also, especially in the U.S., it doesn't matter what vehicle someone is in, they are all trying to race from every stop regardless of what POS they have. TRUTH...
