Now that the news embargo has been lifted on the 2020 CTR and we know the changes on paper. I wonder if the new changes warrant a new designation of the 2020+ FK8. Do you agree that the new variants are different enough from the 17-19 FK8 to have a different designation? Please answer the poll or post your opinion.

Should we be calling the OG FK8 as FK8.1,
The 2020+ FK8 as FK8.2.
The LE as FK8.LE or whatever makes sense.

My first car was an RX8, and in that world 2008 was a refresh with many of the same adjustments and it was just called the 2nd generation. That being said, many of these adjustments were already present in the eurospec 2017-2019.

It'll likely be whatever the aftermarket parts manufacturers end up calling it since Honda didn't really designate it in any way other than the year. Maybe they'll just say 2020+ Type R, seems simple enough.

All are FK8. Now we just have "pre" and "post" facelift variants, just like EK9, DC2, EP3, all had the same variants as well.

You wouldn't call it 8.1 and 8.2 it would be 8.0 and 8.1 anyway?

Also they've always just been called facelift cars so call them that...
