:love::yes::dance:So thought I only would have to change bumper/grill but, now radiator too.
Many of you all I'm sure have already did this and more for better cooling.

So question is what radiator core etc has owners already changed to that would be equivalent to new one in 2020?
Which one is cheaper/better? Kayorad?

Next up for me- suspension/handling:
bushings/mounts etc?
rear sway bar?
is adjusting camber enough?
if so, by how much?

Guess this gives meaning to the ole addage, the later year models tend to be better in that the bugs have been worked out from previous years.
Makes you think maybe we could have waited, but my premise was rarity especially with dealer markups and yearly price increases plus fear of limited stock for who know's how many more years.
Our adavantage, if not mistaken is seems historically, Civics are easy to mod, so we have that to our benefit. So all is not lost hopefully.

Here's to the years ahead for our track beasts and besides each our own surreal new purchase experiences, This car is undoubtedly super special which makes us a special team/family
For once I/we can say I'm/we're a proud owner(s of the R!

The price gouging at dealerships will continue and the MSRP just went up $750 roughly by the time you add in sales tax, then add Roughly 1k destination fee, doc fees, and tax on the car $400 for the wheel and tire protection package (a must you know if you're a current owner), you're still looking at roughly 42k (depending on your sales tax rate) at sticker out the door with no mark up for a 2020. Better buy up the 2019's if there's any left in the color you want for a good price because the price gouging will be heating up again as soon as the 2020's roll on the lots. I can only imagine what they will gouge for the blue let alone the very limited yellow. Anyone that buys a CTR has a great car 17-20. I wonder if they will discontinue to type R or mildly refresh it over the years as they draw towards their hybrid goals set as a company. The 2019's are still marked up as much as $10k locally here. Not to mention the initial 2020 batches will be in very high demand for those who have been waiting to pull the trigger on a 2020.
Bullshit, you can get a 2019 for under sticker (been offered a black one at 35K - black especially or sonic grey as they are the colors no one wants including me.

Ok since the 2020 isn't out yet how do you know the price gouging isn't coming? You think a new color with new features for a dealer to sell they aren't going to try for top dollar? Let alone an a limited edition to 600 units with other features unique to it are going to sell for sticker? My post literally says to pick up a 2019 for a deal now. I don't want black or Sonic Grey either, so what's your point and why are you still shopping for CTRs if you own a 2019 PMM? Read peoples posts before posting nonsense replies.

I wouldn't say that at all, the changes made are YOY slight refreshes as they have every year made slight changes (no radio knobs initially, no fan speed buttons, steering wheel or finish changes) every year there are slight changes, it's not like they came out with a complete remodel of the car. Still the same car in the end. Mods are where the fun begins with whatever year CTR you own.
There is a used type r sitting at my local honda dealer right now for 28K you can bet they didn't give him over 21 for it.

Anyone have any idea what this button does? It's shown in the European version from the TFLnow video, but not on the officially released photos.

There's a lot of factors in the car business, I use to work in it. Also a lot of factors to the one they have on the lot, wear, mileage, how bad he got ripped trading vs selling outright etc.

my point is for whatever reason everyone who buys this car seems to think they are gonna make money off them or they are somehow gonna magically go up in value... reality its a car its gonna have depreciation. not sure why everyone thinks the type r magically is immune to this. Like the guy who posted he bought his car for a deal from his dealer and can trade it in and make money??? what magic world of pixie dust does he live in. where dealer sell you cars cheap and then give you more than you paid at trade in???

That's for auto start/stop (of the engine) for EU cars for emissions control during engine idle (at the stoplights for example). Oh, pushing that button turns the feature off.

Oh, yeah. That ain't gonna happen for a car in "unlimited" production. I think we're at 40,000 produced and counting. Treat a car as depreciating asset from the get go. Don't think of it as an investment unless it's a Ferrari of some kind. TBH, throwing $38k at TSLA (Tesla) has a higher chance of doubling or tripling your money than buying any car in the next 25 years.

I wonder how we get the 2020 CTR February 28th when the Honda of Japan site says Summer 2020 (June 21st-Sept22nd)? https://www.honda.co.jp/CIVICTYPE-R/new/

Unless they are speaking in terms of the limited edition, but the page even shows colors other than yellow speaking to the 2020 CTR being Summer of 2020?

The limited edition is for 2021. And before anyone gets too excited for yellow it does not come with any nav screen or air conditioning. So.... enjoy yellow lol...

@Harlaquin You should do your Homework right. The US-Version DOES come with nav screen and air conditioning, only the EU and JDM spec doesnt have it.

I haven't either but I can honestly say I've never even turned my cruise control on since I've owned the car, too busy enjoying driving it.
My 2020 Si head ACC. It works from speeds of about 35 MPH upwards.

Older model Type R’s values just went down the hole
Can’t see a huge loss of value. And it’s all about supply and demand. If all current owners start selling theirs then yes definitely a depreciation quicker. But I’m sure the 5k-10k ADM will be more common and be for awhile. And sincerely how many here would sell theirs too get a new one? I just picked mine up and feel she’s truly awesome and am I really going to feel a huge difference in the car being it’s more suspension refinement over anything else besides creature comforts? The HP hasn’t changed and yes if she had a 50 HP plus bump then yeah that’s a big carrot dangling to possibly change up . At the end of the day I feel it’s really great Honda is continuing to refine the Type R brand that only reinforces the true value and world wide fixation on Honda’s excellence to be constantly better than anyone else.
