alright guys so I was heading to work today and was traveling at 25-35 mph on 295 in dc I hit a pothole (within the second I looked over my shoulder to switch lanes). Everything seemed fine and when I got to work I didn’t manage to see the bubble up until I got home and saw my tired was slightly flat . I checked the tire with soapy water and nothing is leaking .. as far as the small bubble should I be very concerned???

Agree with above. Also, if you must wait a few days move that tire to the back. You don't want a blow out up front.

Unfortunately what you're experiencing is what's called an impact break and the bubble you see is created from air escaping from a cut/crack in the tire's inner liner. Driving on a tire with an impact break is not recommended and as Andre80 noted, could fail under use.

Impact breaks are typically covered under road hazard so if you have this protection on your tires, you may want to check with the business the protection is under to see what they can do.

You’re def right about that I filled it up to the recommend psi and it escapes when driving it (no I didn’t take it in a big road)

Hopefully I didn’t crack the rim since even if I fill it up to the recommended psi after a short drive around the neighborhood the air mostly escapes . And about that coverage I don’t think continental can do anything since this tires came oem with my car and I’ve had it for almost 2 years now . I checked their policy and it mostly seems they’ll cover it for a year sadly.

I agree you need a new tire, maybe 2 if " too much" mileage.
No money for 2 , put rear tires in front wheels and the new tire at the rear wheels with the "older" front tire.

Good point on the wheel and the shop should inspect it as it's possible there is damage on the inside portion of the wheel (and tire).

Circling back to the road hazard coverage, if you're under the Honda Care Warranty there may protection on the tires.

A bulge is a weak spot and it can cause the tire to fail. In my profession, it's a minor defect (needs to be replaced once returned to home terminal), so you can drive on it, but it needs to be changed. Cars on the street should follow the same ruleset, so if you need to wait a couple weeks until pay day, etc. don't sweat it, but get it done.

EDIT: "You’re def right about that I filled it up to the recommend psi and it escapes when driving it (no I didn’t take it in a big road)."

Right, well then, sweat. haha. :)

I Actually didn’t drive my car for almost 4 days since I had to wait for my tires to ship. The same day I got em I went to a shop to get em changed . In the end they did a decent job minus a bit of a chip to the rim and a couple sockets had the paint literally like it seems sanded off . I guess the person that did it had the wrench spinning or something before even having the thing on the lugnuts. But other than that I can’t complain . It’s small imperfections they left that Won’t leave an eyesore on me .

Thank you guys for trying to help me but since I’m barely on here I couldn’t get back to y’all. I did end Up paying and extra 16 dollars per tire from a different site which I could’ve saved by ordering from y’all
