@Josh/AWE noob question here. I'd get the touring edition with dual black exhaust. A local muffler shop told me to ask if this deletes the "cat," because that's not what I'd want.
It looks like it comes with a front pipe, the CAT connects to the down pipe, and the front pipe attaches to the down pipe. You should be be fine, but I will let Josh weigh in on this

Not Josh, but that’s correct. The catalytic converter will remain in place.

Amirza and Mat are correct, VV. You are clear to tell them with confidence they will not be removing any emissions equipment from your vehicle.

Just left another muffler shop who wanted to see the car before quoting a price for labor.
  1. He confirmed the cat will not be deleted.
  2. He said the stock exhaust setup is "weird" and that AWE's design is how Honda should've built it in the first place.
  3. He offered to build me a system for $400 cheaper. I respectfully declined.

Well the cat is located after the turbo lol so yeah no exhaust company will mess with that. All exhaust companies usually have frontpipe back exhausts or after frontpipe exhaust systems.

Just paid for my touring system today, decided at the last minute to go with dual black tips instead of the triple. Huge thanks to @Josh/AWE and John voss for getting me squared away. Now begins the wait.

I am itching to get my hands on this exhaust system but looking at all the straps in between the pipes I am doubtful about the long term reliability of this exhaust system compared to stock exhaust.

It comes with a lifetime warranty if that helps. The labor would still be a pain though.

Chiming in with an update that Evasive installed my touring exhaust with triple black diamond tips on the Si last week and I absolutely love it. Well done on this one, guys! Hoping to get some clips of it in action soon. Also thanks to Josh and John for sorting out my shipping to Evasive...was smooth as butter.

Yep. Lucked up and found a nice person who was able to get me the discontinued PasswordJDM CF Gurney Flap.

Trying to stick with the dark theme all-around, including the diamond black AWE tips.

It all comes down to quality of installation to be honest with you. Proper prep and torquing of clamps, proper installation of slip joints, etc. Our systems don't move... unless they are installed by someone who doesn't follow our detailed instructions... located here! The number one fitment issue we deal with is from incorrect installation. Our CTR is daily'd by one of the owners with a 45 minute commute and has had 0 issues. We are here to make sure your experience is nothing short of awesome. We've been doing this for almost 30 years. :headbang:

You're referring to the clamps I presume. Worry not, friend, the system will last the life of your Civic and beyond. If anything, having slip fits makes life easier if you ever needed to remove it to get to something else on the car where the exhaust would be blocking your way. Proceed with confidence.
