My brother has a 6 speed 15 scatpack. Absolutely love driving his car
That shit is fast lol.
Very nice! Mine was also a manual. I considered it to be one of the best, if not THE best boulevard cruiser I have ever owned. Big, loud, and fast (in a straight line) is what the Challenger is all about.

This is a pic of mine that I took right before I traded it for the ZL1 -

To the OP. Get a tune at least before trying to keep up with those fast cars and maybe a clutch too.

You don't realize how nimble and agile the Si is around corners until you get into a heavy POS American car.

I'm currently on business travel and have a base 2019/20 Dodge Charger as a rental. It has 290hp/260tq (probably overrated) and tips the scales at a whopping 4000 lbs. My god this thing is terrible. So much momemtum coming to stops. Feels like a school bus when you take 90° turns. Infotainment is complete horse5hit. It's snowing here in Buffalo, and if you shut the traction control off, this thing won't make it 2 feet before it starts sliding. I can't wait to get back in my Si.

The only American car I'd buy is a Toyota Camry.
Don't judge all American cars by boats like the Challenger and new Camaro. My old Saleen Mustang was only 3,300lbs and would have absolutely massacred my current Civic in the corners, by an incredibly wide margin.

I wouldn't call the Camaro a boat. It will outlap many, more expensive cars, all day every day.

No denying that. I owned a '15 Challenger scat pack for a couple of years and yes it had gobs of power but was a total pig. Felt nowhere near as agile as my Civic.
When I was 20 years old I got a chance to drive a 1970 440 6 pac cuda with 4 speed. No pistol grip had aftermarket shifter that was also a pig fast as hell going straight but couldn’t corner worth a dam
After driving it and getting into my 1980 mustang with a 2.8 V6 at the time it wasn’t fast but it handled light years compared to the cuda

On this thread.. The new Si is an amazing all around sport compact.. Looks, power, handling, reliability, tech and build quality. Some of these whips with brute hp are just on another level though. You need a lot of work to run with the big boys :D

Hmm lets get this straight, a 6.0 400HP V8 powered (probably modded, cuz lets be honest people mod the hell out of those cars) monster vs a stock 1.5 205HP 4 cylinder and you're shocked that you were forced to dine in gapplebees? o_O

Talk about trying to fit in the wrong size shoes. Stay in your lane, and next time only play with cars like the GTI, WRX, GLI, Elantra Sport, Miata, BRZ/86 etc if you want a fair chance to see how your Si stacks up.

I’m sorry I have to be a stick in the mud
The civic coupe in the pic is much better looking more modern and sleek especially that yellow
I’m tired of this retro look the mustang the the Camaro and yes the dodge ( if you notice I’m not a big Chrysler fan) where in the 21st century not the 1960s or 70s IMO :)

Haha I was only comparing a base model road boat. Any car over 4000lbs but with less than 250whp will drive like crap. I had a 2012 Acura TL 3.7 with SH-AWD. It was in the 4000lb/250whp category. The saving grace was the amazing interior, sound system, and sophisticated AWD system. But I eventually got tired of driving a boat and sold it for an 05 TL 6mt.

I wouldn't call the Camaro a boat. It will outlap many, more expensive cars, all day every day.
And I also wouldn't call the Camaro a boat. Even the V6 model has decent power and is fun in turns. I commented earlier in this thread about how I really liked that car. Only downsides I could think of was the poor visibilty and I kept hitting my buttocks on the seatbelt mount when entering the vehicle lol.

Shoot, even the 4cyl ecoboost Mustang is nice. Thing has ~300tq to the wheels from the factory! Have a lot of fun renting them!

But Dodge needs to do something about their weight problem

They won’t they’ll to busy adding ridiculous
“ stupid bee” stickers on their cars and trucks
And don’t worry about quality just build the piece of crap and get it out the door ( all American car companies are like that) and worry about the problems ( and don’t fix them) down the road!!
Ok ranting over:D

I've driven an RT, but not a scatpack. Gotta do that next trip to our Texas office. If I can get one that is

Bruh happened to me alot lately, ever since I got my prl cai and tsp race tune I thought I was fast until I got beaten by a Camry wasn't expecting that at all ,last Friday a Subaru show's me whose the man then again on Monday a golf took me to gape city now I feel like I only should be racing old man in Corollas cause all the other guys have been whopping my ass lately or maybe my 1.5 cvt isn't as fast as I'd like to think but I accept it, but it just kinda weird seeing some guys here and on Facebook who have civics have all kinds of story of their civic taking down mustang's, Subaru's and a guy claimed he smoked an M4 on Facebook page called 10th gen civic performance, even me myself though my 1.5 cvt turbo with the prl cai and tsp race tune was fast until I actually race some other cars and I personally test drove a golf R and holy fĂ—Ă—king shit the golf r feels 5 times faster than my car especially flooring it from a dead stop
you tried to race with a cvt civic. I don't think it's same as an Si even though you are tuned with TSP. Camry and corolla CVT (current gen) is shit. one can feel the delay in acceleration by the way the engine rpm rises. In sport mode it's ok but it's still bad. A manual is a manual for a reason

That's not what savagegeese, the straightpipes and Throttlehouse said about the Corolla CVT. All three say it's the best one they have ever driven. But I get your point
