We ran the dragon on all seasons the first year, and we definitely felt hindered! Would recommend bringing wheels with better tires if you're coming from a snowy climate. Much more fun to be had on better shoes.
Hah, well if you are in a snowy climate you should be running dedicated wheel/tires ntl.

Will be dropping some T-S5 Bronze wheels with summer tires on my FK8 from WI as it warms up. If temps. are ok, then I'd love to go. PRL almost everything on my car minus the R400. Will be getting an eTune in the next week by Dustin....waiting for the PRL inlet pipe to arrive though.

Probably need a cat sitter too if I were to go.

This sounds amazing. I'm not the most sociable type though I've been to cars and coffee and have had a good time talking to people about their/my car.

On the registration page it asks about your driving style, like calm easy going/sightseeing all the way to aggressive. I'm guessing their definition of aggressive is driving like an asshole, tail gating, cutting people off etc. And not hitting/powering through corners. Guess I'll just pick the option in the very middle?

Are there any tracks nearby to really run our cars out?
there was only one person that I saw in the aggressive group that acted out of line, he ran wide (fortunately there was a pull off) and immediately tried to regain his position on the road forcing a couple other cars to the oncoming lane to avoid him.

Other than that one thing, everyone was well behaved and drove reasonable the whole weekend from what I witnessed, even though we were pushing pretty good pace towards the front

Registered! Hopefully I can get my old 2015 Si wheels powder coated and remounted before the event, Iā€™d like to avoid using the all-season tires that came with the car, and theyā€™re too new to replace. Iā€™m also thinking about the 27WON big brake kit, would this be a good idea?
I ran the 27Won BBK last year, they were amazing all weekend!! After one trip of me leading a small group from the dragon store to the lake, we pulled off and several other guys on stock brakes were smoking pretty good.

I remember that guy, white type R with white wheels, Ohio plates.

Anyone musically reclined that would want to attempt to record this and adapt it as our theme song? Name that tune...

Yeah, Iā€™m gonna take my R down that dragā€™n tail road, Iā€™m gonna drive ā€˜til I canā€™t no more

Got 400 hp in the hood, horsey power good,
Seats & brakes are red, and the tach is Pegā€™d

Ridinā€™ an R course, ha
Whipping up your Audi
While you chase us pouty
I done out the valley, you ainā€™t winninā€™ in that Porsche

Cant nobody tell R nothinā€™
You canā€™t tell R nothinā€™

Road or track in FK8
Lead grows bigger feelinā€™ great

Tires across the mayo
Came to dragon slay-oh

My life is Youtubee
Hondata mods amuse me
PRL Intercooler
Wing & Remis on my booty

Canā€™t nobody tell R nothinā€™
You canā€™t tell R nothinā€™

I got the pedal down, cross brace in place, got +R red with same Rockstar face

Spent a lot money on my brand new rims and coil springs
Babyā€™s got a habit of fancy tunes and sport bling

Ridin through chicanes in my Honda racing sports king

I got got no stress, Iā€™ve been to the track,
Iā€™m a quarter mile man, four 18ā€™s from Tire Rack

Wish I could drive R back to that dragon tail road

I wanna drive ā€˜til I canā€™t no more...

Eeesh. Have any dash cam footage of his stupidity? I'll have mine running plus run a secondary higher quality camera (my pixel 3 probably lol) hung on my interior light in the middle. Suction cup mount doesn't work on it, I may have to get creative

Do they close the road down any for these runs? I would sure hope so. Around here there's idiot cyclists that have a death wish who ride on the twisties. Yeah I'm going to go 2mph up hill on the struggle bus through blind corners. That and the ever prevalent unskilled excuse for driver's that must ride the brakes the whole time, hit the brakes at every slightest curve (dropping to 10 or more below the limit), can't stay in their lane. That's so infuriating to be behind. Seems like most times I get to the best parts of roads I run into someone like that.

I definitely need to register when I get home. Hopefully there's still decent availability at the lodge. The girlfriend keeps nagging to make a reservation right away.... Like there wouldn't be anywhere else to stay if that's filled up.
Anyone happen to know the price difference if you refer this site/event?

I do have an amazing video of what happened through my gopro but for some reason i can't upload it that's why i just posted the screenshot. As far as roads down there, no they don't close them for these runs so expect to see all kind of stupidity, traffic, etc... About the rooms/cabins it's best to book it there since all the events will be held at fontana so make sure to call them asap.

You try YouTube or Google drive?

Thanks for the info. Looks like the best time to take the road would be 3-4 in the morning lol. Doing multiple runs I'm sure I'll get a good one

Another question @360glitch... are we looking at 4 driving groups or sticking with 3? I hate to hang back with the relaxed but the moderate group... at least on the skyway, was a bit more... well... speedy then I was planning on. I saw there was 4 levels of driving on the form. Are we going to make a moderate-plus and a moderate-minus this year...?;)

Yes we will have more groups this year. While we are looking at 4 "levels", we intend on having multiple groups of each level. Smaller groups will be easier to manage, as long as we can find enough group leaders.

Got ya covered. Thanks for the heads up.

Lol, I put down "very aggressive" for driving style, though I might start a step lower if I don't get a chance to drive the road myself beforehand

for 11 miles straight would take a lot of focus. Dashcam doesn't really give you a good sense of speed though.

Over double the speed limit on the skyway to me was beyond moderate.
