Had my muffler modified on Friday, and I'm absolutely in love. I had the Gundo Exhaust mod done, inspired by @blksprthtchbck©.

My phone (Google Pixel 3 XL) tends to make things seem louder than they are. I used a decibel reader and got the following data:

Inside Cabin at Idle: <70db
Inside cabin at speed: <84db
By exhaust tip at idle: <80db
By exhaust tip revving: <90db

Absolutely no drone and actually a little bit quieter at speed and at mid range revs.

I have not been able to test the car at red line, I am still breaking in the engine. The most I hit was 5000 rpm during the video

Sounds good. I've wanted to do this vs cutting off the muffs just haven't seen too many people do this method

So it's been a week since I did the mod, and I feel like it's gotten quieter. Has yours?
Not too much, you hear it WOT...doing the resonator delete made it sound much better for me.

Check out the video I just uploaded

Just to clarify - the video of your Si was with both the mod and resonator removed?

If you ever plan to get a downpipe, do not remove the resonator. It sounds super awful with a catless downpipe, I did this mod like a year and half ago, ended up adding vibrant ultra quiet resonator after getting a downpipe to fix the rasp and ugly sound. That being said, the vibrant ultra quiet made my exhaust sound quite nice with a downpipe. It sound amazing now paired with a Type R exhaust instead of the OEM resonators.

Has anyone done a gundo on a sport hatch and kept the resonator in place?

If so how did it sound?

Had this done on a Sport Touring Hatch.

Takeada intake
Tuned
Res Delete
1" bypass pipes

My thoughts is go 1.5" / 1.75". At 1" it's quieter than a res delete by itself until you hit load. Also no gargles or pops with a 1" bypass.

will the half or 3/4 of an inch be that much more noticeable as far as sound goes?
