Which lights are these?
Those are Mugen tail lights. Scroll up and it says so.

Be aware the portion up top mounted to the edges of the hatch is just a white reflector currently, it has no bulb or wiring. Surely some company will make either a retrofit kit or offer a matching lit reflector unless Mugen beats them to it.

Snazzy as the Mugens are, the ā€˜deadflectorā€™ and high price turned me to other options, OPT7. They have a yellow row of sequential turn signal/emerg flasher/lock flash LEDs hugging the outside-bottom edge.

Fair fair, I asked because they look exactly like the ones from HiRev Sports. but HiRev has the part on the hatch as part of the sequential signal.I ordered the HighRev Sports one and thought they were shipping 2/29 which is why I tunnel visioned hard.

Bonus: Found Schroth harness in my garage. Color combo sucks, but I'll only be using for track anyway. Beats spending more money!

'soiled myself and made a big mess on the driveway.

Well, Amsoil'ed that is. After much procrastination, finally got off the couch and changed out the factory fluid to Amsoil Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid, right around the ripe mileage of 1751 (car was bought in April 2019).

Started at around 4pm but didn't finish until 8pm. I'm clumsy and got slow hands, what can you say.

Some amateur-pro tips.

2.3 quarts needed. Torque drain/fill bolts to 32 lb-ft.

1.) Take out the air box first before jacking up the car or putting it on ramps if you're short.
2.) The air box is a bitch to take off if you've aftermarket intake tube (PRL, etc...), so loosen all the clamps on the intake tube to make it easier.
3.) If you're on ramps, chock the front tires before jacking up the rear (car will roll backward if front tires are not chocked) to level the car for complete draining of old fluid. Alternatively, you can put the car in first gear once car is up on ramps after shutoff.
4.) Don't drop the 10mm oil-level check bolt into the used oil container, it's messy to fish it out. Turning the used oil container with the drain hole away from the check bolt screw hole helps to prevent this mishap. See picture below.

Mixed in with some CVT fluid for good measure. ;). I used three empty bottles to drain the large used oil container when fishing for the 10mm check bolt. See next tip.
Honda Civic 10th gen What did you do to your Type R today? IMG_1990.JPG

If you're using this type of used oil container, turn this drain hole away from where you'll be draining the oil from, namely turn the container so this hole isn't directly under where you'll be removing/reinstalling the 10mm check bolt (to prevent the bolt from falling in there). You wanna place a container (or a rag/paper towel) under the car when reinstalling the check bolt because oil will be slowly seeping out of the check hole, which is normal.

Shifting is now buttery smooth. Shifter now slides into each gate with less effort. No gear grinding or notchiness encountered during test drive. Recommended upgrade!

There are lots of Mugen fans, great quality, I donā€™t understand the lack of upper light, even if just lit and not integrated with sequential.

Tastes differ, itā€™s all good. I looked at he HiRev ones and thought they looked like what Mugen should have done, Since Iā€™m impatient sometimes, went with whatā€™s available and often all the best or newest parts are back ordered. Hang in there few weeks more, bet youā€™re quite happy with them, decent company. Looking around some vendors donā€™t say if tail lights fit the lights Type R. Iā€™m sure one of the seniors will correct this if wrong but seems if tail lights fit a Civic sedan they wonā€™t fit a Type R (2016-2019, prolly 20 too). If they fit 5-door Hatchback the I think they also fit a Type R. OPT7 says fits but donā€™t reccomend anyone order until sure.

HSR has some interesting front & rear cheese grater panel alternatives with lighting.

Iā€™m trying to find the right words complimenting you on the choice of wheel securing hardware without saying I like your _uts.

You inspired a garage hunt with the 5-point. All I came with is a dog lifting sling my mother in law gave us, unfortunately, no muzzle. Kidding! Sheā€™s dead now anyway poor soul, had nothing to do with dogs. She was recently hit in the head by some renegade flying black lug nuts, what are the chances. Who loses something like that? Out of curiosity, which ones did you have prior? If I can get the Exhibit A tags off later after the trial, you can have thes back, I mean buy them cheap, Theyā€™re even customized with red accents now! I know it was a terrible 1-in-million chance mishap.

Package tracking shows you got the envelope with all small bills already. Good to see you didnā€™t waste any time replacing them, Thanks for everything once again! This ends the tasteless mother-in-law humor portion of the show, all in jest (R.I.P., sheā€™s prolly laughing).

So, lets move on to mudflaps (Oh, almost forgotā€” donā€™t forget to say we never met before if asked by anyone with a good haircut). With R power up front I get maybe skipping rear ZL1s as unnecessary but I like the balanced look. Whatever makes you and wallet content is fine with me.

Thanks! These nuts are simply placeholders until I find the ones. I'd like to settle down with something lighter, stronger, and with a little bit more flare. It will admittedly put a dent in my wallet, but the heart wants what it wants :D

I have nothing for the mother in law. That was just too good LOL! I'm not worthy

If I had any color other than black, I think I would've instantly bought the ZL1 rears. I even thought about buying the set and giving away the rears if I decided not to use them. I'm very pleased with my initial dealings with ZL1 Addons. The installation was a breeze (my 2 year old had fun holding the flashlight for dad), fit and finish is spot on, and in my opinion more aesthetically pleasing than some of the other options. Reasonably priced and speedy shipping to boot. Thanks for the pic, it's inspiring me to balance everything out and get the rears.

Dare you say FLARE? I put these from Summit Racing on my Type R Ridgeline (morphed from a Black Edition using the accelerated inheritance, wink-winkā€”nudge-nudge).

Iā€™m in NW FL and the sole purpose of this picture when taken was to show the icicle that goes to the ground. This wasnā€™t forecasted here or in hell.

I got my CTR back today. The body shop may have detailed the car before delivering it to me (the interior smelled and looked like it was cleaned) and there was no salt on the car :p

got Swift springs installed today by Evasive Motorsports. If anyone is in SoCal, I highly recommend them for any parts or service. Really cool guys. I also got the Spoon blue tinted wide angled side mirrors

Lloyd Ultimats arrived today. Noticed that the stock floormats are pretty frail; the rut from my heel has almost cut out of the other side of the mat, and that's just from passively resting it there. These are just as beefy as the ones I got for my Si, so hopefully they'll last a while.

P.S. I'm aware that I could get rubber mats. I don't want rubber mats.
