Hey guys/gals

How much better does your car drive being lowered? How does type R mode work when you switch to a new coil over?
Can you still stiffen the suspension?

I just picked up my 2019 CTR and can’t decide if I want to drop it and get 18’s or just leave it cause I enjoy the ride and handling now.

what’s everyone’s thoughts?

here is my new ride

That's a fairly large question to try and answer, and it mostly depends on the use of your car and how much money you're willing to spend.

As you've noted, the OEM setup is pretty good on this car, so replacing it with anything that's going to perform better is going to cost a decent amount. All coilovers will lose the dampening adjustment that comes with the different drive modes.

Personally, unless you track the car I think springs are the best setup for a vast majority of people that want to change it at all. You can get a mild drop (Spoon, Eibach Pro kit) or a decent drop (Swift), maintain the factory dampening adjustment and it won't cost an arm/leg/kidney to do it.

I am considering coilovers or springs at some point.. however 18’s at stock height doesn’t look too bad either. Might leave the car as is.
