Hello All,
Just started a youtube account with some fellow xgenz. Check out our video as majority of our first time on track. Hope you enjoy the TypeRs and Si's in the video.

Hope you enjoy the content, feel free to subscribe as more hoonigan stuff to happen with the xGenz.
Will have another video in depth of each car soon since you will be seeing alot more of each on the track and streets of LA.
Majority have full bolt ons, e85, or just a tune.

Thank you for posting the video -- very informative and looks like everyone had a great time. Do you have the next So Cal track day planned and what does it take for a complete newbie to join :) (equipment, tools, etc.) ?

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for sharing! Looks like fun. Sad to see that Type R overheating and another with fuel cutting off. The weather wasn't even hot. Need some cooling mods for sure if pushing 10/10.

Not sure. Hopefully OP can provide more info but I would hope that it can be made available to everyone who can make it.

I'm bone stock but since I'm a complete newbie to this I'll probably not push it to the max but you are right about the day temp though.

Hey guys,

This is located in Southern California.
Well majority of these guys are modded with one thing or another.

We brought multiple jacks, and jack stands, oil, coolant, and a spare tire if needed but besides the black TypeR everyone else drove home no issue. I have a Fk7 but if i had an Si i take it stock (just want temps of engine).

It wasn't a hot day at all.

The white Si Coupe
Has full bolt ons, tune, cooling, bbk, and tires / wheels. Using Torco oil for engine/tranny and e85 gas.

The white si Sedan,
Had stock autozon brakes (reason of brakes smoking), with full bolt ons running 91 gas.

Black TypeR
Has hondata base tune with bolt ons, 91 pump gas, with no engine cooling mods.
Look at other times, fastest stock Fk8 i saw was 1:25min i can find official lap times on google but was around that time with Cosme running a 1:31:XX.

Yes lesson learned for TypeR owners specially summer time is you can run max 3-5 laps until overheating happens. Cosme was able to run 4-5 laps before he had to pit in due to overheating.

Ok i'm @tcb_ctr -- followed. Any thoughts on personal safety equipment such as helmet?
Yes I would say need of some racing gloves (benefits with gripping wheel so much) I have a set of sparco ones.
Helmet I would buy one that is SNELL approved.

Let me know next time you guys go. Been to streets twice already. I’m booked for chuckwalla next week. And plan to go to Streets, Button, or back to Chuck before end of April. Curious... what times were the SI guys running?

I don’t know if anyone is interested but Snell 2020 standards will be issued/SA2020 helmets will be available Oct. 2020 and then I’m told only SA2015 will be allowed (5-year lifespan) but older ones (SA2010 or older) will not be allowed for use.

Generally, trackday organizations are pretty lenient about helmets as long as they're Snell approved and not totally beat up. If you're not *racing* racing, I've seen HPDE participants use SA2005, SA2010, even motorcycle helmets (Snell SM) with no issue. I'm not a frequent instructor but I wouldn't worry about you if you showed up with an SA2010. :)

Glad to see more Si owners on the track! I've always wondered where the community was on this. After we dropped the 1:24/1:23 at SoW CCW last year, all we got was crickets -- I hope you guys can start the new movement!

I took my Si with just springs and rear sway bar to sow ccw last year. It was the easiest drive there and si is very comfy, but I did find once I had to put helmet on, the roof line was to low. I kept hitting my helmet on the headliner and handle bar. I am hoping to go again with my current addition of tune, tires, wheels and brakes.
