Any photos of those HPS mats installed!? Literally was about to pull the trigger on them 10 mins ago and then held off. Give me some convincing!
you should do it. the qualitiy of the carpet itself is much better than the stock ones. Still will show slight wear after time though.

Seems like a good idea, but what about the approximately 10-15 mm pipe sticking into the oil pan from the faucet fitting?
I think the oil drains to the bottom of that nipple length and then stops, so there's about ~1/4" of old oil remaining in the pan, because it can't get to the inlet due to its length. Normally the oil drains down to the level of the drain plug opening.
I'm sure it makes no difference but think of all the sludge that will eventually accumulate below the nipple opening on that faucet.
I'm just too OCD about oil to tolerate that.

I ended up taking a quick measurement and trimming the tubing to make sure it didn’t dip into the oil level.

Haven’t attempted it yet, but was thinking of draining directly into oil disposal bottles and bypassing the drip pan.

So far have drained straight to the drip pan, then transfer to disposal bottles. Which adds extra work, risks spills and requires cleanup of the drip pan afterwards.

Just need to find an empty set of bottles. I normally use the empty oil bottles after refilling the engine.

Yeah, I guess you could even drill a hole into the base of the faucet nipple inside the oil pan to make sure the oil can bypass the nipple height restriction inside the pan.

Mugen tails came in. Installed immediately after I got off of work due to excitement lol. It’s a bummer that the hatch piece is a dummy light, basically just a reflector. I’m aware that there’s a company releasing a “replica” version of these taillights with a functional hatch light, but they’re only offered in a smoked/tinted version, which i’m not a fan of. I really love these lights though

Maybe Mugen will update the tail lights in the future to activate the hatch lens and offer a retrofit to current owners. Having a dummy reflector is a step backwards to me to have cool angled lights in the mains but nothing above. Seems half-baked rushed to market.

if somebody thinks they can fill this void (with clear lens version) they will. Never hurts to relay the info so many people request they offer this product.

wanting to upgrade stock lights and have sequential stop, I reflected and maybe like a dummy chose the not so easy to buy (must go direct from OEM OPT7 lights in smoke. The seemed best look and value, but don’t have the most exciting features or cold start & lock function/routines as others. Having said that, I do like the silky smooth look of smoke 7s with their subtle 6-9 theme. Not necessarily best but of current choices but only I found readily available with all I desired. Unfortunately right now it seems Mugen tail lights are top quality made by a sub but you’re paying more and getting less for now, aka paying premium for a name brand with no advantage but the label. They could have cornered market but have loyalists cornered.

I wish somebody put together a single upgrade kit that used tails, upper hatch light, and low side reflectors integrated and sequential. For those lowers, seems a pain and best choices today are JDMToy or Cold that just stick sequential capable strip in OEM reflectors, still need CMs.

Come on vendors, make one kit that does it all, exploiting flash tractors, you have the cape.
