So I've been looking to buy new wheels for my Sport Hatchback, but I'm basically clueless when it comes to wheels and wheel sizes. I wanna keep my factory tires which are 235/40/R18 since they're almost new. So my question is will 18x8.5 30mm offset fit on my stock tires with no issues? Will there be a lot of stretch I am also lowered on eibach sportline springs so I'm also wondering if there will be any rubbing. If it helps I am looking at the ESR SR02 or SR08 wheels.

Take a little time out of your busy schedule and make a call to a Tire Shop of your choosing and ask the questions.

You should be fine with that setup. My guess is they probably won't rub at all. You will get quite a bit more poke (+1") and the stock tires won't really be stretched at all on an 8.5" wheel. Should look good too.

Your OEM 235/40 tires will fit on that size wheel just fine. It won't really be stretched all that much, as the wheel is only a half inch wider than your stock wheels.

It may be a slight concern with the 30mm offset if you will be lowering though. I think a 35mm offset would be better, but I see that isn't available with either of the ESR wheels you mentioned.

Did you end up rubbing at all? I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on eibach pros or sport line, same specs as you
