Can you describe the sound more? Do you get much burble? Thinking of going this route too based on the sound and weight savings.
It sounds deeper, itā€™s got some burble to it but not an overwhelming amount. I havenā€™t been outside the car when itā€™s running or doing a fly by so I couldnā€™t tell you too much. But the drone really isnā€™t that bad unless youā€™re on the throttle. And itā€™s not loud enough to piss of your neighbors or family when leaving early in the morning/late at night.

Wabby,
Very interesting choice to get a Mach-E SUV. Do you realize how much fossil fuel is used to make this vehicle compared to an internal combustion engine one? Do you also realize how much fossil fuel is used inefficiently for generating electricity for charging and that environmental impact? Depending on location, charging can be a problem but it helps find spots for you.

I like Fordā€™s approach with SYNCH as people are going to text & drive regardless so they embrace it while maintaining eyes on the road (brain split means half attention). I think they do this better than the two phone platforms. If inattentive, Ford stepped up the nav and cruise features closer than ever but still short of Tesla.

Regarding Norway, youā€™re just doomed until Trade in with the Type R. Letā€™s break down the word Norway... No R way so this could be model bias.

If Ford solicits public inputs on what they say itā€™s the E is supposed to do vs. what customers really want, they should put out an SDK so geniuses can design Open Source Software Helping Integration Tomorrow ((OSSH*T). Maybe itā€™s better if we just refer to their Open source testbed vehicle as MACH-O instead.
To be honest, I don't care about the carbon footprint in this case.
My choice is purely based on the way the government want to screw me over. And of course it's a waste of resources switching car every second year, for sure.
But about electricity, we generate it based on waterfalls here in Norway. Poland on the other hand would be quite the opposite.
I would love to keep the CTR because I love driving it, but I also hate it when it comes to interior build quality (rattle rattle rattle, and I'm very sensitive to sounds like that).

So.... My plan now is to try to drive electric, and I think that I will hate it... But as long as I stay negative, I might get surprised and positive :D
Also, I have already got a charger in the garage with subscription from the electricity company. Fixed price, unlimited charging. So I will always have "full tank" when I leave home.

Anyway.... Time will tell. If I hate it and miss my CTR, I will look into the 2020 model and come back to the Honda community :)

Thanks Wabby,

Nice to know natural sources generate much of Norwayā€™s electricity.

if you donā€™t have a exceed the maximum plug in electric vehicle range, I donā€™t think you will hate it.

Not sure if you canā€™t get or have considered any of the Tesla vehicles? A buddy of mine has one with the ludicrous battery and he as he ages is concerned about blacking out . Yes the acceleration is that strong, makes big roller coasters seem tame.

We had two hybrid vehicles and enjoyed both. Upgraded the Lincoln yo a Ford Fusion over concerns about no-cad battery lifespan & memory. The Ford was great, 50 mpg and looked and acted normal.

Skip this part if you want but it explains why Iā€™ll never own another Ford Traded it due to a seat malfunction issue that Ford HQ wouldnā€™t cover under warranty They have reversing seat protection on every model but the hybrid Fusion. Wife unlocked car, opened door, water bottle wedged underneath when seat tries to move forward to her memory setting, dealer said weā€™ll fix, Ford said no due to bottle. Eventually my car insurance company paid for this as there was a collision of a water bottle and sear while parked out home . Fordā€™s excuse is we told you donā€™t let objects roll under seat in owners manual. Seat base only comes as a $600 assembly and first repair bad because they ordered one with feedback servos for non-hybrid versions, itā€™d only move 1 inch then stop. The only way to prevent this would be to open any door except drives and inspect under drivers seat, then open drivers door, thatā€™s ridiculous! This is the company youā€™re choosing for an electric vehicle and I wish you luck, they failed us.

Personally I don't have the best experience with Ford either, but that was like 15+ years ago...
So I think I want to give them another chance. But I will do my final decision about the Mach-E next week. Then I will see it in person at a carshow nearby.

About Tesla, my answer is no right away. I do like cars that stand out and that's why I have the CTR as well.
Tesla is a common car here in Norway and it as owning a Volkswagen Golf. That's how common it is here. It's a relative cheap car since we have no tax on electric cars, but extreme high tax on petrol cars. My CTR had same pricetag as a Tesla S 75D.
Only thing that might want me to consider a Tesla is the charging infrastructure, nothing else. For a premium car the build quality is to bad. Much plastic, problems with alignment of doors, hood, trunk, etc.

Did a quick exhaust tip cleaning using some brake cleaner, WD-40 equivalent and some microfiber cloths. 7 months overdue on my part. Always overlooked during washes, tsk tsk.

Yeah it was installed with 3M VHB tape.

I actually was a few mm off on one side but my OCD got to me so I took it off, bought some more VHB and redid it perfect now lol

Brake cleaner seems to be a good option, haven't thought of that, I've been using wheel brush and wheel soap so far, I think steel wool with metal polish is also an option.
It's gonna be harsh to the microfiber cloths, are they just about to be tossed away?

Dear Fatherpain,

Forgive me asking as sort of still being the FNG but is the a Remis exhaust? Only other possible I can think with flapper control is Nvidia.

Also, can you edumicate me on previous advice about dual catch cans, CVV and PCV being best config? You told someone to do most complex hookup with one or the other. Considering Radium or similar quality but feel lost.

Does this mean a single can isnā€™t effective on our Rā€™s if just PCV?

For the ultimate stupid question, are both the PCV (back) and CVV (front) of benefit, is it possible to bring both to a tee and route to a single can on firewall? Not sure if even possible, insert check valves if/as necessary. Perhaps the two open at diff times, Iā€™m used a single PCV.

Buddy who is decent mech had his to G37 pcv and was capturing oil. Moved to open Type on other (CVV?) port and gathers none, feels AOK, I think not, he thinks trapping vapors in filter is helping. For the R, are both a necessity, good idea, or from the Department of Redundancy Department?

Bowing humbly at the Oracle of knowledge...

Just do the PCV. I went with the simple and proven JLT oil separator that I have used for years on all of my customer builds and my own cars. Simple 10 minute installation. I've even got one on my wife's 19' Accord Sport 2.0 turbo. Very simple to install AND service. Here are a couple of pictures and some of what the separator catches.
