Bah.. Glorified G-Wiz. haha. I know they perform - I just don't like electric cars. I like internal combustion engines. :)

As for that Ford Infotainment system.. JFC. lol. Did they just expect people to put a tablet there and then decide to integrate an infotainment system without redesigning anything? I take back the Tesla penis comment 'cause that Ford takes the cock. I mean, cake.
Yep, I'm with you, I love Internal combustion engines, especially NA V6's and V8's! I know they will go away one day, but hopefully not in my lifetime.

American innovation. Stick a giant tablet in the middle of the dashboard with zero planning and sell it to a low information population

I have never owned a 4-cylinder until I bought 2020 Si. I'm used V6s. The fact that it's turbocharged and peaks a flat torque curve at 2100 and spans nearly 3000 RPM was a huge factor. It has less torque and less horsepower than my Intrepid, but it's 400 lbs lighter. My Intrepids' V6s make 221 ft lb torque / 214 hp, which was boss in 1993 when it debuted. I first owned a 1994 3.5L though and this guy in a V6 Mustang tried speeding around me one day. LOL. Oh no you don't bitch. You're getting pounded by a big ass 4-door sedan.. He didn't look amused getting his doors blown off by an Intrepid, but it's his fault for buying a V6 Mustang. haha.

I also blew away a V6 Nissan Maxima in my 1993 that had a new rebuilt transmission with a transgo shift kit. The knob recklessly left the off ramp, speeding around me on my left to a red light. When the light went green, I was just accelerating lightly, but he hammered it. NOPE! Seeya! I just mashed it and took off on him hard. It was the first time I put it to the floor with the shift kit. That transmission shifts so hard you can hear the clutches.

Anyway, it was a really nice engine in its day. 3.5L 24v SOHC V6, separate intake manifolds with twin throttle bodies and a crossover valve for improved torque. That engine was the one of the two best domestic V6s, but Ford mated the 1989 Taurus 3.0L V6 (and later a 3.2L) with Cosworth heads and a Mazda 5-speed manual (3.2s had automatics available). I like to call that cheating. haha.

Sorry I didnā€™t take pics when I did it. But hereā€™s a quick markup. The circle is the tab that needs removed to get to the
C57F5800-537D-49C6-9095-3C6C5B87F454.jpeg
bolt. The arrow is where the connector is located under the pillar cover. Just stick the felt pad on top of the connector. Itā€™ll make sense when you see it.
Thanks ... Now I have a project for next weekend, and a solution to the rattles!!!!!

No my friend, I have to disagree. They are fun to drive. I've driven in several of them, and they are fun. That's why so many people in the Bay area own them. And they handle amazingly. Now if you don't like electric cars, that is understandable. But I have to respect a car that is cheaper than a Hellcat and can beat the pants off of it (Model 3)

It may have a smaller pee pee than a lot of cars, but it can beat the crap out of them in a straight line, and even on the curves in some cases

If I had a long commute, I would consider buying one. Thankfully I don't. I love gasoline engines, but you gotta respect the innovation that went into Tesla's

BTW, this is the infotainment system in the new Ford Explorer, which is Moronic to say the least

Every time I see one of these (or something similar) I always wonder ... why ISN'T it a tablet?
Ya know ... one that can be removed ... and taken with you ... like the removable radio face plates from the 90's?

My worst rattle comes from the center console, under the sport button where the top trim and lower trim meet. The dealer has put foam around the sport button wiring and replaced the upper trim piece, but itā€™s just a poor design. With the lightest touch the rattle will stop, I just need to put some of that felt along the edge. Before I bought my ā€˜19 I read the thread about rattles, but thought it was the forum effect where only those with issues talk so the problem is magnified more than it really is. Nope, after 6 months mine started to get all the same rattles. I like the car a lot, but Honda needs to improve their fit and finish.
