Need help changing side marker!

Does anyone else have this trim pieces on their civic? I can't get my side marker out because this piece is holding it in. Does anyone know how to safely remove it or a way of getting the side marker out with this trim piece?

Those look like aftermarket door ding guards. Attached by some sort of double sided tape. Use a plastic razor blade to separate it from your marker lens and remove and replace the lens/bulb per usual.

that’s what I was thinking I’ll probably try that in the morning!! but I think they came on the car from the dealer but I haven’t seen anyone else’s car have them.

You can probably cut it with scissors right above the marker lamp on the fender. It is serving no purpose below that anyway. Plastic and ABS does not ding. Good luck man!

I just took a razor and worked it off just the side marker and was able to pop off the light! Thanks man for the help!! I was able to keep that door ding guard stuff on and change them out
