So long story short, when i am either reversing or going forward slowly with my wheel turned, it almost feels like the car is going over something. Did a search and it seems like this is common? I just want to verify as i have never experienced it. It has a name of "Tire Skipping". Has anybody else experienced this?

It feels to me like the tires grip a bit when doing turns like that. Maybe that's the cause of that sensation or it's something else. I was initially potentially concerned but it really feels / is normal I believe though unsettling a bit lol.

Byproduct of LSD and a full lock turn at low speed. Perfectly normal.

Now is it normal to only happen on one side? I have noticed it only does it on the left side? I caught a nasty pothole a few months ago that forced me to get a new rim so i was worried the pothole did more than just destroy my rim

I would get under the car to take a look or take it to the dealer or a mechanic to verify nothing was bent in that case. Did you get your alignment checked?

But it's not uncommon for clunks and scrubbing at low speed in turns.

I have only noticed it turning left - I've never hit anything. I turn left to get into my parking space in the morning at work so I notice it daily. I'll see if I can tell going right and respond here but it feels normal to me....

i usually notice the noise when reversing out of a spot and crank the wheel a lot or when i leave work i usually go forward and full left out of the spot it pretty much makes the noise every time. Prolly just the diff wouldnt worry about it. My 4 runner does the same tire skipping when you put it in 4x4 and you make a slow sharp turn the diff makes the tire skip.
