Honda Civic 10th gen Spoon bump steer kit SP-51220-FK8-020_00

I'm thinking of installing these bad boys onto my R but wanted to know if anyone has any info on these?

The cost is about $300 and according to spoon they help the suspension geometry is corrected for lowered vehicles and bump steer caused by sudden toe change is reduced. As a result, turn in roll becomes more natural and less unpredictable. The angle of the lower arm is corrected and roll center is optimized. The ball joint is corrected by 4mm.

Iā€™m also curious. I noticed they mention it corrects the geometry for lowered cars, so I wonder if it is only for that application? Or if you would also see some benefit on stock height?

Is your car lowered? I would buy this kit, when I would do springs & WALK kit, before that, we don't need it.

I just ordered my set through Go Tuning... I was told they will arrive in 3wks and they have a small amount of them coming in... and I sure will... I will try and record it and post it on my youtube channel "CTR27322" but I will update pictures once they are here and on the car

not civic specific, but just going off the previous geometry analysis i did for my 981 cayman, but McPherson struts are pretty similar in regards to this.
when you lower the outer ball joint of the McPherson strut, and the lower control arm axis is angling downward toward outside of the car.

it obviously raises the roll center height (which is helpful when the car was lowered, in other words it hopefully puts the roll center to cg lever arm closer to the original length). It should make the front end feel more direct.

the other major benefit is it increase the negative camber gain. Imagine the bottom of the lower control arm, when it's angling downward toward the outside, the lower control arm "track width" will increase as you go into compression. and this lengthening of the bottom control arm track width is what give you the more negative camber gain.

basically win win !

Just been very busy with work and focusing on my health/well being is why I donā€™t have the time to install the parts I have, hopefully Iā€™ll have a lot of free time next year.
