I think we’re having the exact same issue. I’ve scoured the forums left and right and it’s either the AC condenser issue or something else completely out there but this description goes in line with my exact issue. I’m at 32000 miles now but I feel like the issue has snuck up on me. Does your car sound like this in any way? If so any updates from the dealership?
I Have this whine also but mine is far far worse.. I took to honda and they said it was a brake thing scraping against the side and he did something and it was good for about 3k miles then the noise is back... i should up load a video.. its driving me nuts

Get your car on a lift or up on jack stands and crack the trans fluid check bolt. Stick a Qtip in there and see if the fluid level is at the check bolt.

Look for any wet spots around seals while you are down there.

Mine does the same, I believe I saw on another thread that it wasn't a cause of concern so I've forgotten about it.

Im sure the whine is still there, but its a really low sound. Kind of hard to catch, but ill try to record as well.

A few weeks ago, I had reported this whine in my gearbox
but in 1st and 2nd gears. It sound a lot like the one I heard
on the video (Alvi_L96 ).
I guess it's the bearings of the axle that support the 1st and
2nd gears that are tired.
I've only driven 26K km or 16.5k mi.

So far, it's no trouble at all. You get used to the little whistle.
As time goes by and the mileage increases, I don't know,
maybe we'll have to open the gearbox and change some parts.
It will be quite expensive because Honda will not honour
the warranty, my engine being modified.

My 2018 Si has developed a whine primarily loudest in second gear. Have just over 13,000 miles on the car. It’s very faint in 1st and 3rd gear. It’s completely quiet 4th gear on. Counter shaft bearing possibly? I heard that Honda is claiming some noise to be normal after break in period, but this thing sings over the radio when you go into second gear. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks you for any input.
My 2017 Si just turned 13,000 miles and it makes the same noise as the video. Car runs amazing and I've thoroughly inspected everything and it all checks out great. I'm not concerned over it one bit.

U dont think it's a vacuum leak or anything because mine use to only do it with ac on but now it's all the time

no I don't think so. If it was a vacuum leak it would be much more of a hissing sound opposed to a whine. You could always take it in and get another opinion with someone in the car so you can let them hear the noise.
