Factory stripe is 1/8". I know this because I originally tried that size and it was literally the same size as the factory stripe and it was a PITA to properly align compared to 1/4".

it's thinner than 1/4". I've bought red pinstripes to put on my evs lip cause i didn't want to spend $50+ on some stupid vinyl tape from honda.

I think Honda goes by mm since it's made in England and being a Japanese (brand) car. It looks like a 5mm stripe. 1/4" is like 6.35mm, so.

I've tried using 1/8" tape over the red stripe; it's too small to cover it.

Had the defective rear window seals replaced under warranty. They have a tendency to curl and may leak someday. There are worse examples than this. An issue with 2017 & 2018 models.

No cost upgraded replacement, free of charge. Freeway Honda in Santa Ana took care of me.
This is happening on my 2019. Need to get it fixed too.

My 2018 has this as well. I need to get it fixed. Also, my 2017 Civic Coupe I used to have ALSO had the same issue!

it’s like $350 shipped. I like it but it’s really not worth it. I thought it was an entire replacement but instead it’s just a part that you attach to the stock vents. You have to drill holes into them.

Thanks for your honest feedback. I like the look of it but for that price I would probably pass on it. Any pics of the whole front of the car?

$350 isn't the worst when you consider they're paint matched. It is kind of a lot for a pure vanity piece though.

They look nice though.

I agree. I think it makes the front end look cleaner, that’s why I bit the bullet. If you have it to stare go for it.

I'm on the fence about it, I like how it breaks up the fake vent area, but the inset behind it makes it look a bit weird. The price also is kind of high...

Ugh I have this same problem with my 19, thanks for letting me know that I can go right to Honda for a free fix!

I think that color matched garnish looks great! Worth the $ to be diff.

Gives you a better look than the 2020 thinner painted trim part.

You may be a fortune teller since Honda went from full cheese grater to a painted swoop garnish divider. Seems reasonable the next year they’d keep getting this wider/bolder to downplay any cheese grater look.

Is there something similar for the back panels yet other than what is OEM on 2020? All I see for back on Mugen site is rear lower bumper trim.

Can anyone speculate or know if the 2020 painted quad panel color trim/garnishes fit 2017-2019 R?
