Is there a difference between getting my Si serviced at a dealership vs a local auto repair shop?

I’m hitting 5k miles soon and probably need oil changed and other minor things.

How are these things added to my car history in car fax, if at all?

I never go to a car dealer in my life, my small town mechanic is more trustable and I can see him doing the job.
And it's cheaper.
I keep all the bill in case of warranty

I do oil change myself

Honestly it depends on your local dealers.

I have three Honda dealers nearby, so when something needs done, I compare all their service specials and if any beat the local shop, I use them.

Just got a brand new battery with 36 month warranty (after 36 months, they issue a prorated amount to pay for new battery up to 10 yrs) for $99, things like that. Another dealer had a coupon for $35 full synthetic oil change while the other had $45 and one had full price at $60.

I would only go to a dealership for warranty or specialty repairs. The dealer lube tech is just as good (or bad) as the guy at jiffy lube, and jiffy isn't going to take 2 hours to do it.

My dealership here is owned by Hendricks. Although I have heard some bad things about Hendricks, I've been using them for 14 years with only 1 issue that I recall over the y ers.

As for maintenance, they offer a 2 year basic maintenance plan for $199US which covers 6 oil changes and rotations. It ends up making them less than $35 each. Their normal price is $50. As for major maintenance (fluid changes, brakes, etc) I usually shop around and keep my records. I utilize the Honda Owner's Link website and enter all maintenance (not serviced at the dealer) online as well.
