Type-r front Subframe brace

Lol, I was on the fence of whether to install it or not bc I got it from my mailbox about 35 minutes before the golden knights game started. Finished right before puck drop.

So I am confused: when I look up the part everyone describes [50290-TGN-E00] every Honda parts site says it does NOT fit my 2020 Honda Sedan Sport and instead directs me to an entirely different looking piece [71430-TBA-A00] which is 52 bucks.

Does 50290-TGN-E00 bolt onto the '20 models? Does anyone have first-hand confirmation that that IS in fact the correct part?

Fitment on trims with the 1.5L turbo engine has been mostly confirmed. If you have a sedan trim with the 2.0L (non-turbo) engine, one person reported the two mounting holes (sedan) don't have any threads to mount this brace. I believe a 2.0L Sport Coupe is fine. The 2020 Sport sedan has a 2.0L engine.

That was as I feared.

Guess I'll need to jack up the baby and poke around and see what there is to see....

Reading > you. I literally said “of note, this is 2.0 engine” on my post with multiple pics of the part installed. Whoever can’t find the only 2 holes under their car in that direct area shouldn’t be trying to install car parts.

Just got my in the mail and I also order the Hardrace RMM too. Now all I need is some free time to Install

I'm not doubting/disputing/arguing with you, but I've seen enough folks complaining of SOME sort of issue to give me nagging concern. I'm hoping your experience -- easy normal install -- is entirely typical and accurate.

Just installed on my 2020 Si. Bolted right up and easy to install. Only can go one way. Super easy to install when I had all the plastic off for RMM and downpipe/frontpipe.

Just tried to install on my 2016 EX 2.0 Non turbo Sedan (So there’ no confusion). There were NO threads on the holes.

If anybody wants a brace and 2 bolts for free, you can pick them up at 95121

You people shouldn’t be working on your own cars.

For ALL non type r civics. The Cusco bar attaches to the same bolt points as the stock type r bar.

I guess some people like me are just blind or just idiots as some are insinuating for saying that the 2016 Civic EX 2.0 Non Turbo SEDAN don’t have threaded holes for the subframe brace. The 2.0 coupe I guess has these threaded holes. The hatchback probably has them too. If somebody has installed a subframe brace through these threaded holes on a 2016 Civic EX 2.0 Non Turbo SEDAN, please let us know and show us pictures and videos as well. I just want to confirm that I really am an idiot and I shouldn’t be touching my car anymore.

Subframe part 1. 2/4 door same part number. Zoom in to see actual 2 holes.

I just installed it on my '19 Coupe Sport, it was a drop-in install.

Car definitely feels different when cornering - makes turning and quick corners feel more "confident".

Very good part for the price, as long as you or someone you know knows how to install it!
