Ok so I got in my car this morning and was greeted by a "charging system problem" error message. I didn't have time to investigate so I just drove because it seemed as if the car was working fine. The only thing I noticed that was wrong was the left blinker would hyper flash and the front left wouldn't flash at all. I thought it might be a fuse or something so I checked all of them related to lights but no luck sadly.

The only aftermarket mod I have is some speakers and I installed those several weeks before the issue occurred so I wouldn't think that would be the issue (but not ruling it out. ) Other than that I have no idea so if anybody can help it'd be much appreciated. If not I'll have to just take it to the dealer which I'd rather not do because it's decently far away.

If it matters I have a 2019 lx sedan

Usually hyper-flashing blinker means there is a problem with one of the blinker bulbs. Did you check front, back and side view mirror bulbs on both sides?

Yeah it could just be that the front left bulb is out which would make me feel pretty stupid lol.

Would that cause the dash to say "charging system problem"?

That's the only thing that confuses me about the issue but I can try swapping the right and left bulbs and see if that does the trick.

Because just about everything that used to be intuitive about our cars is now subject to control modules and software.

There's been a disturbance in the Force. The car doesn't like it.

Yeah... buy two new bulbs and swap them out.

And good luck.
