I drove my son's CTR with the Hybrid Short Shifter and the stock knob at stock height vs. a heavier knob. I much preferred the stock knob. The height matters as well. If you lower it too much it became very hard to find the gates etc. Once he raised the shifter up to the OEM height it was much improved. He has the shifter set at the shorter gate spacing.i kept the stock shift knob and so far i've been liking it. let's see what the new spring does.
