I researched, I waited, I purchased. My purchase you ask? Acuity Instruments Stage 2 shifter kit for my 2018 Honda Civic Si. Why a shifter kit and not more power? Because you, the 10th gen community, convinced me and I wanted to change the driving characteristics of my car before giving it a new personality. I'm content with the 205hp produced by our motor even though I do long for quicker pulls at times. There are plenty of cars with bigger motors to give me the pull i desire. Hell, my 2018 Odyssey can give me a bit of that, but to truly experience the drive of shorter and precise shifts is to experience the performance of this vehicle. It'll be a while before my next mod and maybe I'll get more power, or maybe I'll focus on handling, who knows. But what I do know is that I couldn't have made this decision let alone any future decisions without the input and reviews from this community and specifically this forum.

Very nice  If you aren't already running summer tires, that should be your next upgrade. Such a huge difference compared to the stock all-seasons.

Interested to hear your feedback on the shifter after you rack up some miles with it.

I'm also planning on doing this upgrade whenever I have time this weekend or the following. I also bought a CTR shifter at the dealership for $58 to go with it.

I look FW to hearing about this.

Currently I'm NOT pleased with how this shifts. Of all my cars (all stick), none have shifted this poorly. Crunches & binds in/out of gears. Driveable but not fun and I worry about reliability later as this'll surely wear out quickly. If the shifter is the problem, I'll def. do the same here, but first trying to get warranty coverage before messing with it.

BTW, GREAT choice on first mod!! I put a short throw shifter in early on and loved the added smoothness and quick throw. MUCH more fun to drive.

As far other Honda vehicles of past this shifter isn't my favorite but it is pretty easy and better than a lot of other stock shifters on the market. The 6th gen EM1 Si had a great shifter as well as the S2K.

What other vehicles are you comparing this shifter to? As far other Honda vehicles of past this shifter isn't my favorite but it is pretty easy and I think better than a lot of other stock shifters on the market from what I've felt. The 6th gen EM1 Si had a great shifter as well as the S2K.

Eventually Firestone Indy 500's from the reviews I've heard. I'm the type to run it till it needs to be replaced but maybe when I'm ready to buy new wheels I'll purchase the tires and have a winter and summer set.

Everything came out just under $300.
Yep, so about the same for my shifter parts. Short shift adapter, shifter bushings, rocker upgrade, centering spring and cable bushings, $280 for Performance PLUS Bundle from twostepperformance.com with a 5% discount and free 2 day shipping.

Yeah the only part I didnt get was the short shifter adapter. It cannot be used with the CTR shifter.
That's cool with me though, I dont want my shifts too short.

I went from Michelin PSS to Indy 500s to save some money. The 500s are fine for the money but I will spend a little more for the Michelin P4S next time.

Absolutely no regrets with my P4S tires. They stick like glue

But I'm not planning on tracking the car though. So would the P4S really be necessary?

Totally not necessary if you don't care about performance....but based on your original post, it sounds like you do. The Michelins can be considered a top-tier tire. No, they are not cheap, but the quality is second-to-none. Just as quiet if not quieter than the stockers but with a sh1t ton more grip. The price for admission isn't exactly chump change but if you can swing it, I seriously doubt you would have any regrets.

I can definitely bet I won't have any regrets but I'm looking for a little give and take. Still on the fence for a summer tire to begin with as I keep going back and forth on Ultra High Performance all seasons for year round use for Motegi Traklites.
