For those who have 27won Down Pipe and/or Front Pipe, how do you like it so far?
First time posting a new thread. I usually get all of my answers from other threads but I would really like to hear more about the 27won down pipe and see how people are liking it. Mostly because I am considering it myself. I have read about the gap in the heat shield, but I have concluded I am not worried about that issue.
I have my eyes on the 27won exhaust coming out so I am thinking about going all 27 from the down pipe to the exhaust.

I mix and match all my parts. I don’t get sponsored nor do I like to stick to a single product. I pick the best of each product out of the bunch assuming it is quality stuff. People have said aFe downpipe sound better, I went with that and I have Thermal R&D exhaust as well and it comes with front pipe. Cool thing about this exhaust system is that it uses clamp to old the exhaust together, I’m not sure about leaks but you can simply get a axle back 3” and clamp it together. Even the resonator remove, just need a 3” pipe. Thermal did a great job with sound on the exhaust and I loved it. Best imo but other people may defer.

Btw, don’t worry about the 2.5” on 27won exhaust, stock turbo exhaust side would be a bottle neck, even if you upgrade, the integrated header in the block will be the bottle neck, though I’m not sure how far the integrated header can be pushed before shaving the walls lol.

For 27won catless downpipe, I think it’ll be like any other downpipe, will be loud and pops but hopefully no rasp like PRL, though catted will muffle the rasp and reduce sound a bit. People put that on their stock but deleted resonator/muffler and their rasp is next level.

Any catless dp will be raspy no matter what lol. It’s all in your exhaust setup after the frontpipe with what kind of resonator you use.

I appreciate the info but my interest lies with 27won for this. I have plans for the other guys but not for this. I made this thread to learn more about the 27won down pipe because there isn't much discussion about it. I have heard enough about aFe, Rv6, and PRL down pipes. But thank you for your input! I want to see if people (who own and use it) think the product is worth the money. If they like the sound and so forth.... I am leaning towards catted but ultimately undecided. (I understand the difference between catted and catless. I don't need a lesson on it)

I know my reply will be biased by nature but if you have any questions don't hesitate to call us.

I have 27won cat less down pipe to exhaust. It sounds amazing, very aggressive deep tone, it is very loud too. I've been complimented many times about the lack of rasp and how good it sounds. No drone either.

Do you have a sound clip of it? I’m wanting to get a downpipe and 27won is the one I want but also want to keep the stock exhaust/muffler.

Guys,
We've driven the the 27WON SI with the Catted and Catless downpipe w/front on both our SI prototype exhaust and the stock exhaust so let me share what we have found.
1) Going catless we have not noticed any added smell. I believe this has been an issue for some due to exhaust leaks in the connections of their exhaust. The 27WON exhaust uses thick 3-bolt flanges and multi-layer stainless steel gaskets so we don't have leaks. As long as the exahust fumes are exiting the vehicle at the tailpipe as intended then you should not smell fumes. If your cabin is filling with fumes then you need to get that issue resolved as that could be harming your health.
2) Catted will be ever so slightly louder than catted on both the OE exhaust or a performance exhaust from what we've found in testing
3) Windows up your are going to hear just the deep tones from the exhaust. Windows down you will hear everything, the exhaust note will be more "defined" or less muffled sounding.

Hope this helps!

This is the answer I've been looking for so long regarding the smell, definitely want to piss off my neighbors with noise! (catless) just had to be sure about the smell

I just installed my front/down pipe combo along with the motor mount and my car sounds like a racecar. Almost a bit too loud but I'm not sure if maybe I didn't torque the rmm properly or maybe I didn't tighten the front/down pipe enough and maybe there's a leak. I don't smell anything out of the ordinary but I was worried I did something wrong cause it's so loud. I'm gonna recheck my torque specs and hopefully everything will be fine. I'm glad I found this thread cause I thought it wasn't supposed to be that loud unless I got a different muffler lol!

the RMM will increase NVH by a good amount lol just let it settle in within the first few hundred miles and you'll see it lessen or you'll just get used to it. RMM will make you feel and hear everything underneath you.

Cattless will be louder? You said catted twice.

Thanks!
