Just finished installing the Sony AX7000. I used the Axxess XSVI-1731-NAV and ASWC-1 and Metra Dash kit.

First Im not totally happy with the Dash Kit. It's not bad but the HU isn't snug around the bezel area. So it gives a slight aftermarket appearance. No biggie just OCD fuel.

Which brings me to the clocks. Before I did this install I talked to a tech at a fairly high end audio shop and he was no help. I talked to car toys. yeah... ok thats 10mins I wont get back.
The head unit clock time and the dash clock do not sync. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen but it has.

There is no setting in the dash "i" menu. I know the Hatchback are slightly different because 2019 built in EU.

Anybody got any ideas?

Update. In a different post regarding the clock someone mentioned unplugging the battery. That does work and thanks to whoever mentioned that. On this particular car reconnecting the battery, the clock starts a 1 o'clock. So obviously if you do this at precisely 1pm or 1am then you are good. Just set your head unit to match.
However something else occurred on this particular car. Doing this changed the cluster "I" menu. Instead of "Settings" it's now "Clock/Settings" and I now have control over the dash clock via the menu.

I suspect this happened because unplugging the Neg Battery cable did a system hard boot and with the OEM head unit not present It modified the menu. So there you go.

FYI whats left on this install is the steering control is not completely correct under "preset" and the Manual setting is acting goofy as well. I will have to to reset the the Axxcess SWC unit I guess.

Also the radio reception sucks. Normally good FM stations cut in/out and have static and I have zero AM reception. My new Sony liberal head unit? Nah J/K NPR barely comes in.

The camera view is not acceptable. So I will have to try one of the other wires to change the view. Im thinking about a 3 position switch.
And last the camera is also kinda weird. It does come on in reverse but it has issues as if the connection is loose. I don't think it is but I will check.

All in all I like it. I've tried both Carplay and Android Auto(using a spare Galaxy 6 and hotspot from the working Iphone) But considering these issues if I can't get it right I'll pull the Sony because it isn't worth it.

FYI about the backup camera "flicker": this seems to be an issue with the Axxess harness; I have the same problem with my 2018 hatchback. Another user on the forum was able to fix this by using a different interface module from another manufacturer. I'll update with the info later tonight.

hmm, so there's that and the fact I cant get the ASW-1 to program correctly. Im trying to update the firmware but no having good luck with it so far.

I know I've already gotten used to the AX7000 mainly the NAV. It sounds better too even with the OEM Speakers. I just orders some Rockford Fosgate 6.5's, a hideaway powered sub and sound deadening film so in a few days I hope to the rattling the license plate.

Also I didn't have the blue wire on the antenna connected. Once connected to the amp on/off blue wire Im good on reception

Here's the thread about the LHA20 interface: https://www.civicx.com/threads/flickering-backup-camera-with-aftermarket-radio.39282/#post-713841

I had to manually program my AWSC-1 for my Kenwood DMX906s. The only function that worked initially was volume down, and that was when I pressed the hang-up button. I ran through their manual programming instructions (didn't use a laptop) and got everything to work.
I have this exact same setup on my Harley but with a AX5000(no difference). The bike is a 2018 and is can-bus also. Everything was detected and works fine. The Civic though I'm missing the source up/down.
So I put the HU in Custom mode instead of preset. It's really whacked though. I can only do one direction of each button. Vol UP for example but then When I try to program vol down is says Im trying to program the same button.

What your talking about though is manually programming the AWSC-1 through the app?
I thought I could take that to my PC and program it. Not...it doesn't find it.
So I tried it on a android direct cable still no go.
I even tried a USB hub. All I can think of is its wanting that 4-pin connector from the harness. I'll try hooking it backup and see it the android will find it. Little frustrated

At this point I can't get the AWSC-1 to program 100%. Im missing the source buttons and the phone buttons. Manual or automatic. So Im hoping that a firmware update might fix it but Im having a difficult time getting that happen. The app does see the device. May I have to have their cables but I doubt it. Im going to try a couple of audio shops and see what they can do.

Other than that the AX7000 with it's built in amp and 4 rockford fosgate punch 6.5's is seriously good audio. I can totally max out the volume with no clipping or distortion. A hideaway sub will make it even better but I'll install that some other time.
