I don't think it's a major problem as it will be more efficient at the same power level. The problem is you will have to upgrade the intercooler at some point and custom tune again (I mean, for more power)
W

That's why you do all the supporting bolt on parts first before upgrading turbo lol.
The OEM intercooler heatsoaks so badly its a joke. Retuning isnt the problem, having a proper build is, especially in Greece where ambient temps reach 104F. Its a waste to have a bigger turbo and not being able to make the most out of it.

Then get PRL IC with piping or Mishimoto's. Also get a PRL Race True cold air intake.

I mean, what's the problem to get the IC then? Too much money in a short period of time, no IC for the CR-V? There is a user with a CRV and a mishimoto intercooler.

I ve asked em both and their IC doesnt fit the V mainly cause of the active shutter grill system. Only solution is to remove it completely if Ktuner creates an error disabling option. Charge pipes also probably dont fit, mainly on the cold side as the route is slightly different and longer.

Mishimoto had a intercooler + piping kit for 500 dollars during black friday. I would assume they would do something similar again this coming year. The intercooler + kit typically sells for like 900 I believe.

Guys the V has amazing potential. Only the connecting rods restrict it. I ve raced a friend with a non Si, 3rd gear and I wasnt that far behind up to 110mph. Top speed right now is 143mph and I am only running PRL SRI and Ktuner base. I used to race my Type-Rs both steetrace and track. Thats why I got a manual, cause I didnt want the CVT restrictions. Civic clutches fit, Civic downpipes fit, a custom front pipe and exhaust are easy to make but the freaking intercooler isnt something I want to do custom.

If you are stationery, it is. The engine bay is bigger than the civic. Lots of room especially under the air filter. When I am pushing the car IAT and IAT2 are actually BETTER than stock airbox. In traffic, yes its a deathtrap!

I have the mishimoto with stock pipes, nice intercooler. Wanted to get the pipes but they cost alone 534$ here in Europe and the FMIC + pipes kit cost 1200$ :(

In Europe we pay a lot more than in the USA for everything, from gas to parts. My car costed me 48500$ which is Acura RDX money...

Don't forget a freer flowing grille, gold reflective tape, and turbo blanket. I know long term an IC is a must for what you're planning (especially in Greek Summer heat), but don't discount the little things that end up adding quite a bit to the cooling potential.

Also I know we're talking about cooling the air but since it gets so hot where you are, consider using Water Wetter in your engine cooling system. That stuff is no joke, I honestly can't believe more people that mod and run their cars hard don't use it.

I honestly forgot about this. You know I'm an 'engine cooling freak'. Thanks for the heads up. Will be implementing it soon.
