Yes, it will if you don't take action and press the brake. I have had it happen a couple of times.i noted the orange "brake" notification that pops up when you get too close to a car, but does it ever actually fully brake the car?
It is I've had a false positive and its jarring.it must be a pretty hard stop then.

Have you guys tried changing the CMBS warning distance to short?
I know on the Accord you can do this. I figure you can on the Civic as well.
You can. I drive in LA traffic everyday no problems with it set to short.Have you guys tried changing the CMBS warning distance to short?

Been using short setting since I got the car and it works very well. Normal was just too dangerous for my driving style.Have you guys tried changing the CMBS warning distance to short?

Yeah I was ok for a while until there was that one time that i had to accelerate to get into another lane, thus getting close to the vehicle that was in front of me. The car tried braking on its own even though I was already in the other lane and had avoided the "collision". Sometimes you have to do some maneuvers that the vehicle doesn't like. In my situation I felt the Honda Sensing was more "dangerous" than "safe". It's almost like it was too slow to react and even though I had avoided the other vehicle it took it a moment to realize this. I guess my speed compared to the vehicle in front was just too quick and the car tried to help. You can. I drive in LA traffic everyday no problems with it set to short.
