I have HKS and its piping.. it functions like a champ.. piping replaced factory tube.
I feel more turbo lag with PRL IC kit.. which i dont feel it with HKS IC kit.
Just my two cents.

No experience with greddy, but personally I wouldn't get it.

so you got the HKS kit that replaces all the piping? I just got 27 won boost tubes...so it would replace those if I got the complete HKS kit?

oh and as for the lag...I saw one guy switch from mishi to hks and he realized he didn't notice the lag on the mishi intercooler after swapping to HKS. That's interesting you see to have noticed the same compared to PRL...looking like HKS might be the best bet, I hear good things. I also see evasive running it.

There's pros and cons between tube and fin and bar and plate type IC cores. Not all cores are created equal so larger does not always mean better.
totally agree. So many people are caught up on the size and think bigger is better.

yeah and they're probably also sponsored by HKS/Greddy to run those parts too and paid nothing for them i'm sure.

Most of the time there's placebo involved with I feel this, I feel that and is not an indication of anything. Personally not a fan of aluminum charge pipes (even though they do look better) and none of them except for PRL charge pipe kit replaces the main rubber component which develops tears.

In the end, any intercooler is better than stock. Buy what you want. Stock is hot garbage.

I believe Mishimoto is the more expensive one, I think I’ll wait for one of those clearance sales and get either PRL or Mishimoto since those brands have made their one music in the FK8 platform. Well, is good to see y’all opinions on this tho

I thought the consensus was bar and plate is better than tube and fin.

Hks piping replaces all oem rubber tube into aluminum pipe... so both hot and cold side now has no rubber.

PRL piping replaced pretty much entire piping and it is bigger diameter...it is bar & plate... a solid product but i just feel more lag with it compare to HKS i have now. HKS is tube & fin

Only consensus is that stock IC is crap... but what about replacement IC? Honestly I can only buy an upgraded IC once so which one to go for?
Why no one shared their IAT1&2?

Agreed. IAT before and after core is really the only data you need!

You can show the temp between the core with one sensor position and it doesn’t mean as much as having the before and after core IAT.

So then Mishimoto is the best. There's a guy on here from South, FL that tried PRL and switched to Mishi which cooled better. I think he may have some additional info from what other brands the other guys used here too.

Lol I heard the opposite...who knows.

I thought Perrin provided good data on theirs before and after...including temp data. Most likely the one I'll go with

Ive quietly been amassing Intercooler information.
I don’t see any data that would point to the Mishi having lag other than it can hold more volume of air. And this is said “lag”.

However one metric I’ve seen as I msg people is they are getting lower long running temps with the mishi than PRL simply due to its size.

Ultimately I don’t think any Intercooler is bad save for the Wagner which has an immense volume of air and has a noticeable “lag” from reports of users who run it (with near stock tune).

As for performance I see minor differences between PRL, Mishi, HKS. I call this class A.

The other Intercoolers such as Perrin are B.
