I am cosidering getting the O.Z. ULTRALEGGERA in 16 inch for the weight saving and a new tires with 215/50/16. Its seems the 215/50/16 is a rare tire. Are there better tires in 215/55/16 that do not have that much flex as the Kynergy GTs?

You could use that size. I wouldn't. The fender gap would be even worse than stock. Tires would be slightly heavier than stock too.

Hopefully others will chime in. I gave you my best advice.

I don't particularly care about fender gap, as more of the function. I just did a tire calculation and the 225/50/16 is just 1.8% less so within 3% so the sidewall goes from 4.7 inch to 4.4 inch. Not sure that will be noticeable. I just want less sidewall flex
