Should I get a new set of wheel for all season or just swap on stock wheel

I'm getting the car soon. But It's hard to come up with a perfect plan for the wheel/tire situation.
I swear I've read most of the posts here regarding whee/tire choice.

To start with, I live in PNW, where I'd need A/S tire half of the year, and I can do with summer tire for the other half.
I like the look of the stock tire, and I can live with 20 since the road here is alright, not too much potholes, if I go to say 245/35/20.

Normally I'd just run with all season all year. But with type r, I think one would need 245+ ps4s equivalent tire to avoid wheel spin in dry summer road.

Now that I decided I want summer tire to really enjoy the car, my next question would be if I want another set of wheel.
So far I read that changing tire on type r is hard, because of the size of the wheel and the fact that it requires some special equipment. then swapping tire twice a year would likely result in a higher chance of wheel being damaged. Plus the extra balance cost every time do the swapping.

Guessing the better way to do it is to have two set of wheels then, though I won't get to ride on the cool looking stock set half of the time.
If I got two sets, the other set will probably be cheaper 18/19 for under $1k per set. I do see some folks selling oem for around that but apparently very few are selling around PNW and non wants to ship them.

So the question would then become which set I should use for summer.
If using oem wheel, I could keep the stock tire, and just get a new set for all season. I guess I can get 265/35/18(19) all season tire which could make up some of the grip lost comparing to a summer tire?
but the downside would if I go do autox, I'd spend more on these 20 tires, and I've read stock size would be worse performance wise since I can't go 265 etc.

Using the new set for summer would be the opposite. I'd get 245/35/20 A/S tire right away.
On the plus side, it would mean better performance tire choice like 265/35/18(19) that can help with both autox and wheel spin in summer, and I can go straight to good summer tire like ps4s instead of having to go through stock conti first.
And for whatever reason when summer time comes around in couple months, if I'm satisfied with A/S, i won't need to invest more on a dedicated summer wheel/tire set.
but then I'd need to try to sell the stock tire which is a hassle in my region.. but maybe I can store it for 3-5 years and put it back on before I decide to sell it? not sure if I can store a tire that long though.

Sorry for the long post. Really can't make up my mind here..
what do you guys think here?

There aren’t many AS tires for the OEM size. I also hear that constantly swapping between tires will wear out the tire bead and cause air leaks over time. That said it’s probably better to get two sets of wheels. There is also the issue that a lighter set of 18” wheels, even with AS tires makes the car feel a little bit peppier as it goes over stock... a lighter smaller wheel actually does prove beneficial to the CTR.

Get 18" wheels and put on A/S tires if you need them. Save the OEM 20" for summers and run them each summer until the tires are worn out. Once worn, decide what to do. I suspect you will like running 18" wheels more. They ride much nicer and feel much nicer, and in my opinion, look better too.

I don't need A/S tires otherwise I'd have two sets of 18" wheels. One with dedicated track tires like RE71Rs or AD08Rs, and one with all-seasons. For now, I just have one set with PS4S and they will suffice for me year round.

This is basically what I chose to do. I bought the car in February and almost immediately picked up a set of 18" wheels with some all-seasons (~$1700 from Tire Rack, came ready to install). Then when summer got here, I swapped back and ran the stock wheels/tires for the summer. The car rides significantly better with the 18s and the extra weight from the stock setup was noticable. I now have the all-seasons back on the car, with another (nicer) set of 18" wheels in storage that I'll be putting PS4S tires on in the spring. I doubt I'll ever use the stock wheels/tires again.

seems like the general consensus is to go with smaller wheel.
It's just I don't want to let go of the stock wheel look.. the red accent ring and red honda in the center is kinda cool..

what if I go 255/35/20 AS on the stock and something like 265/35/18 on another summer set, then I get larger sidewall for both case and good performance all year round.

That sounds fine. In the end, you should do what you prefer, not what we prefer. I liked the OEM color scheme too so I got 18” TE37 Sagas.

Your plan works but would you throw away the stock tires then? What someone else said earlier was true, you can’t dismount and remount low profile tires too many times or you risk damaging the sidewall or the bead. In fact, a local tuner shop of mine won’t even dismount or flip tires that are 18” or over.

I'm thinking to store it and put back before selling.
I plan to keep the car for 3-5 years.
I don't plan to get any tire in OEM size so keeping the stock could be better for resale value.
I'd love to sell it for 700, but doesn't look like easy sell in my region.

2k for a separate set of wheel and tire is quite a bit to swallow..
