Oil Dilution Recall Updates

Through email we are organizing a beta to see if it prompts you with the question of which software to install. Keep an eye out for that.

So I just had service done on my 2018 Si yesterday and they did the recall work. Today I tried to reflash it with my tune and it definitely didn't like that. Start button not working and car won't start. Is there any way I can get it fixed without having it towed to the dealer??

The recall update wouldn't affect the ability to reflash again.

If the start button doesn't work your battery is likely dead!

Mine also acted up a bit after recall but it took the tune after a few tries. Can't remember exactly what I did. I remember doing something wrong when it asked me to "reconnect" in the first place...
I think I cleared all tunes on the KTuner and then uploaded again and it worked.

Fred... flashing a tune is relatively battery intensive and our batteries are weak... not a good combo.

My recommendation is to get a battery tender. I use one to trickle charge my battery from time to time and keep it hooked up while flashing a tune for piece of mind.

Yup. I’ve got 3 . It’s connected to one right now.

Is the OD solution in ktuner tune? Or do I need to still get it done

We have just about all of them. You should get asked when returning to factory or setting up the factory tune.
