Idk if any one else is having this issue . This happens about 50 percent of the time when using brake hold and only when releasing the brakes . Not sure if temp has anything to do with it , other wise everything else works fine , without the brake hold enabled normal brakes makes no noise .

I couldn't hear anything other than a short click sound at that time.

But yeah... I agree it's the parking brake electric motor thingy that;s used here. I've never use brake hold. But I would expect it to sound and behave similarly to the parking brake being engaged and disengaged.

Sounds almost like a relay. Brake hold does not actuate the parking brake motors. It uses the ABS to hold line pressure to the brakes. Only after like 10 minutes of having brake hold enabled will the parking brake then engage itself. If brake hold was using the parking brake motors, you'd hear them wine as they were actuated.

Thank you. It always seems like people are saying the parking brake is used when it's not. The parking brake is very audible. Brake hold isn't audibly noticeable at all. It's clearly not the same.
