After what seems like an eternity, I finally got my wheels on yesterday. I originally ordered these on August 3rd and while they were in stock from Japan, it still took way longer than expected to get them (12 weeks instead of 4-6 originally). So eventually the wheels showed up in early November. Then the wheel vendor (who shall remain nameless) said the centercaps were on backorder until December. How this is I have no idea because it's just some plastic discs. So then the centercaps/rings came in mid-December, but were lost in transit. Some rando named "Vinny" as the local USPS signed for them coming off the UPS truck and then they never made it to me. So re-ordered centercaps/rings from another vendor, which arrived late last week, but the centercaps were the wrong ones. So after some complaining and overnight air, I have what I need now, thankfully.

Advan RSII Hyper silver 19x9.5 +50 on RE-71r 255/35 tires.
Stock suspension

Call me old fashioned but I much prefer the contrast of silver wheels on a black car. It seems most aftermarket wheel options for the Type R do not even offer silver which isn't surprising as the typical Type R owner from what I've seen prefers a bronze, white, or gunmetal wheel on their CBP Type R. I was happy to find a good looking wheel from a quality company that had a color profile that works for my taste.

I could have fit a 265 tire but if you do math you find that it puts the diameter off and makes the car sit quite a bit higher - a 265/35 RE-71r sits about half an inch taller than stock, whereas the 255/35 is 26" even which is only .2 more than stock diameter of 25.8"
So I'm happy with this setup as it preserves a nearly identical ride height to stock.

Very nice choice in silver! My own months of self imposed hell choosing and waiting for wheels/center caps came to an end recently and it feels great that it's over! I like you went with a different finish instead of the uber popular black! Mine is called Pressed Graphite.

Yup I don’t like black wheels since they hide the definition of the wheel design. Your wheels are similar to the color I have on the wheels for my M3. I’m a fan of graphite/gunmetal colors

Plenty. I’d say about half an inch from the side of the caliper to the spokes. One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable the clearance was

Can I ask - what was the main reason for going to 19's instead of 18?

Mostly just personal preference. In recent years I have dialed back my track time usually only get to road America a couple times a year. If I was tracking more often I’d have 18s for the fact that tires are cheaper.

I also don’t plan on modding the car since it is intended to replace my S4 as a daily. So knowing that suspension will stay stock, I feel like 18s look a little small. Again just personal preference
