JDM UFO Dome Light

This thing is pretty neat. A few pointers...

Part numbers;
08E14-T4R-000 Sub-harness
08E13-E81-010 Light assembly kit

A ground cable comes with the main unit. The connector is too big to fit into the harness hole. I had to drill out my hole to make it fit. I hate doing things like that, modifying OEM equipment.

There is a sub harness that is for this, you still need to do the ground cable thing.

The main assembly comes with 2 screws, a plate, two washers, two threaded clips for the screws to go into, the assembly, and the cover. The sub harness comes with some foam and silver squares. I have no idea what that is for, I didn't use it.

There is a little LED map light if you don't want a whole bunch of light. There are settings called fancy, I have no idea what they are for, nothing lights up in that position.

Pretty cool! Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of how it looks in the daytime. The foam squares are most likely to put on the harness to keep it from rattling.

Anyone know if there’s a way to have the blue lights turn off with the car?

each switch is 3 position. on, fancy, door. one switch controls the blue one controls the actual light. there is also a smaller light as shown in the last pic activated by the push button in the middle. im still trying to figure out what fancy does. they packed a lot of options into this little thing.

Is this available with a red ambient light? (to match Si/Type R/Sport)

arent the 3 functions of each button just the same as the 3 function of the button on the stock dome light?

Stock has: on (all the time) - middle (on when door opens) - off (all the time)
On this fancy dome light the "off" and "middle" seemed to be turned around, but in total you have the same functions? on = on all the time like stock - "door" = "middle" and shines when doors are opened? - "fancy/room" = "off" on the stock dome?

Might order this too cause I like the look and functions and the install video was very clear!

On, off, or with doors

Modified the JDM Honda Access dome light by desoldering the blue LED and soldering in red LED.
