Seems to be speed related as I don't hear it under ~60mph and gets marginally louder as speed increases and seems to plateau around 95mph. Seems to be coming from driver front half shaft/wheel area. Tried pulling over to check out what it was but it wasn't making the sound (due to no speed). Doesn't look like any engine accessories or idler pulleys in the area to cause this sound. I'll attach a video. It's a very high pitch sound so turn your volume up!

I'll check under engine shield guard for some missing screw.

I heard it could maybe be a rock lodged between the rotor and shielding?

I don't know what is the rotor.
It is so easy to check the shield I talk about, take 2 minutes, start with that.

To my ear... it sounds like the 'roaring' sound that's often associated with a worn bearing. But it certainly could be just tire noise.

Does it matter if you're on smooth concrete or a more rough road surface?

Like a wheel bearing? Because to my knowledge there's not really any moving parts on the driver side besides the tranny and suspension/wheel components. Also I always notice it over ~60mph, regardless of road type. Never hear it under 60mph. Although it only started like 3 days ago. Nothing changed in that area other than a mud flap install but highly doubtful a mudflap would make such a sound. The squeaking sounds rotational.

The roaring sound is just my aero. I'm talking about the super faint high pitch squeaking noise. It sounds similar to a creaky pulley rotating quickly.

It's hard to hear over video, try some headphones and relisten to the video, it sounds like dog whistle pitch

If it just started after you made a modification; then that'd be my first guess.

What I'm hearing starts about 7 seconds into the video.

I suppose it's easy enough to remove the mudflap and see if the noise goes away. But please post the solution once you figure it out. Good luck.

The car was dropped off for a clutch swap and he said the shielding on the rotor was bent a little bit but he's not sure if that was the cause

@Gagerr , did you ever happen to find the solution to this squeaking problem? I have the same thing going on with my civic si coupe right now. Audio clip attached below.

That's the same exact sound mine was making! I actually sold the car and never found the solution

My dealership actually came through on this warranty work and fixed the problem. It turns out that noise was excessive flexing/movement of the A pipe. They replaced the entire A-pipe and associated gaskets to fix the problem. I'm happy as a clam with my car again! Hopefully this helps somebody.

I noticed that I am having this same issue while I was on the highway today. I've never seen the term A-pipe thrown around so I was just wondering if you could clarify it a bit. By A-pipe do you mean the air intake pipe going from the intake box the the squished pancake looking pipe, or are you talking about another pipe?
