200 miles on it already and I'm loving it so far. It's so much fun driving a manual car again. I haven't had manual transmission since I sold my wrx about 2 years ago. I almost bought another WRX but glad I went with the Civic instead. I looked around at different cars before deciding on the civic si, I really dont think there's a better car out there for the price.

Hey man, that's awesome! I would love to hear your thoughts on the WRX vs Civic. Power, ride, feel, etc. I'm glad you're enjoying it! I love my '19 Si and have had it for about 7 months now and couldn't be happier!

To give a proper comparison I definitely need to spend more time driving the Civic but I'd be more than happy to share a comparison based off the little time I've spent driving the civic the last 2 days. To be fair though, the WRX was a 2002 that I bought back in 2012 with 100,000 miles on it. So with the Civic being new, it has a lot of feature that the WRX didnt have that I love.

As far as power goes. The WRX stock was around 220hp compared to the 205hp in the civic. Not a huge difference. The AWD on the subie definitely helped keep more traction on take offs. But a few months after owning the wrx, I had a 2.5 sti block rebuilt, it was bored out slightly bigger with forged internals. I kept my heads from the 2.0 motor from the wrx, then threw on an sti turbo, sti intercooler, sti fuel injectors, cold air intake, a turbo back exhaust, bigger fuel pump and had it tuned. At that point I was close to 350hp so the power difference from the civic is definitely noticeable.

The civic has a more comfortable ride though. Its smooth, quieter, the transmission feels tighter and shifts smoother. The gas mileage is great. I probably got like 15-17mpg in the wrx after all the mods. My other vehicle at the mount is a 2011 ford ranger and its gets around 16mpg. It was killing me on my 35 mile one way commute for work.

The main reason I was leaning towards the WRX was for the AWD. But I ended up not trading in my ford ranger when I got the civic and the ranger is a 4x4 so I can always drive that in bad weather.
