Much ado about nothing. Waiting for the rainstorm to pass (until Thurs) before giving the wheels a good cleaning. It's in the low 40s lately and cold as heck. Winter is officially here.

Today Santa brought me a nice center armrest. Thermapedic Type material with a tight mesh-like fabric that looks like it wears well. Adjustable elastic straps hold it in place along front and back and stays put because it’s being wedged by the console lid.

I really like the soft U-shaped foam and it puts your arm a few inches higher, 6’ 1” here and just right. Since the cover has zipper bottom, imagine you soulf take off an inch or so of foam and it’d be lower but still plush. Worth more than $15. I know it looks sort of backwards in the pic but I like the added support and this is the right way per listing.

Nice, I home made an armrest cover from black felt, it's very comfy but not too original, my son laughed and said, "what is this"!
Thanks so much for posting, I'll look into it. I also want to put something on my driver side armrest/door handle to keep schmoo from marking it where I place my arm. I would have paid more for pleather seating and upholstery, even Alcantara would be better than the fake stuff they're using now. I mean, the car's cheap for what you get and it's a shame they cheaped on some interior items (IMHO).

MOD3’,

Interesting but help me understand why?

I don’t really depend on my rear windshield wiper to do much, not like I’m driving backwards at high speed in the rain....anymore thanks to that game warden. I know it was the strangest way ever to deer hunt but with bait luring, salt licks and game cams along with three javelins in the tailpipes it was difficult but effective. Poor Robert though as I don’t think that is what was intended by Shish-ka-Bob, oops.

Is there a significant weight or aerodynamic savings, like now your Type R will go up to 169-1/2 mph now? Personal preference is a perfectly good answer as we’re all unique just like everyone else.

Why not remove external parts and mount a large tach needle on the wiper motor and label your rear glass 0-7,000 RPMs? With rear wiper on you’d look like you’re revving the engine.

I can't answer for m0d3rn_st33l but my reasoning behind rear wiper deletes is the fact that the rear wiper blade usually gets tons of dirt buildup that ends up scratching an arc into the hatch glass when used. For me, that alone is worth the delete.

What krees said. Its easier to keep clean back there now. It looks way better. Don't have that arch embeded in the glass. Wiper is useless anyway. I havent turned it on since i got the car. Have owned it over a month now and has rained probably a dozen times so far. Dont care about weight savings or extra top speed. Im more of a looks person, and the wiper just looked horrible.

I detailed my car before putting it under covers for winter.

We had a few snow days and it’s been in storage but wasn’t detailed but that’s fixed now.

I like the reasons for removal. The plug in the glass - you mention ECS Tuning? Where does one get the plug?

NEVERMIND - found what I was looking for!

Took my car into the shop to get the bumper PPFed (had the bumper refinished and the plate holes removed).

In the meantime, i took my Christmas vacation to design and print a drill-less plate mount for when I get the car back. It's inspired by some of the designs floating around the community. Learned how to use Fusion 360 sorta in the process.

Pics of the different iterations. Took me like 2 days to tweak and print properly. First time printing with PETG and it is/was a pain in the ass especially in the ~50 F weather lately here...but happy with the results.

Happy holidays, folks!
