After putting some more miles on it today, I've noticed a few more things.

It smells like burnt popcorn when I get out of the car. I'm certain that it's just new parts getting hot for the first time. The "active noise control" is engaged in both normal and sport mode, It's just turned up a notch in sport. I can clearly hear the exhaust noise coming from the back speakers, especially on downshifts. And even more obvious is the engine noise coming through the tweeters.

An odd thing I found was that the bass and sub woofer were cranked all the way up from the factory. I'm wondering if that is somehow linked to the engine noise?
I hear the noise all the time, its just louder in sport.

Another small thing I noticed is that the boost gauge goes all the way up to 20psi. I canā€™t speak on the 19ā€™s but my 18 only showed it going up to 14psi.

That's what happened with my 2018. Over time I just got used to feel and started to like it. Unfortunately my Si is a Honda associate company car so any modifications are a big no no. Otherwise I'd be in the front of the line for Armsoil and a tune.
Changing out the OEM MT fluid for Amsoil is not a mod. It won't affect the warranty (that is what Amsoil states on their website). It would be like using Mobile 1 engine oil instead of Honda branded engine oil. Now tune is a mod that may or may not break a warranty should something go wrong

I was pro black rims until I picked it up... ended up swapping with the ā€˜19 wheels, matches chrome detail in other areas of the car.

The black rims look nice on the white. These look good too. Before and after pics from a couple angles would be a good comparison

Unfortunately I only snapped a few pics before I swapped to the ā€˜19 wheels. Let me know what you think!

Man im sorry but it looked "meaner" with the black ones. As much as I do like our pre refresh style stockers, they are much more chick car than the new style wheels. More jewellery like for better or worse.

If you stay on top of the blings they'll look better. All in all the black looks meaner and a little better though
Red & White are bright colors and the dark contrast from the rims go great together.

This member jdmpookie keeps his swirlies pretty spotless. Hope he doesn't mind the re-post.

This thread has really got me thinking I may go for trading in my 2017 for a 2020 refresh, and a change of color, Blue or the lighter silver?

As it stands right now I've eaten all the depreciation and should be, essentially, even on a trade in value. Just extending my payment another couple years in the name of almost self driving cars.

Just took possession of my 2020 last night and so far have about 40 miles on it. There is another comparo thread that mentions how much more buttoned down the overall feel of the car is and I have to strongly agree.

>Honda has seemingly made a lot of silent changes (for example the sunroof assembly is much tighter including the sunshade). The a-pillar covers are tight to the a-pillar compared to my 18 (no rattling later on hopefully). Also in place and fitted much better (no strange gaps at the end).

>Driver sun visor has a vanity light now instead of the panel filler piece my 18 had (indicating some planning on Honda's end to add some of this stuff)

>20's come with a little wire extension thing for the usb access to android auto (alleviating the awkward plugging in down to the port in front of the shifter beneath the head unit)

There does seem to be just a touch more road noise with the new wheels (maybe they are lighter?). Although the overall car seems much quieter and more refined for whatever reason.

>LED lighting up front (now also the factory fog lights are led...something i didn't know)

>The parking brake switch now has a red indicator light in the switch which helps.

>Glove box light is added.

>Cup holder has spring loaded fingers now (nice).

>Shortened final drive: I love the gearing change...the car is much easier to drive.

>Honda Sensing pack: lovely stuff I didn't know I wanted. Definitely helps during my 40 minute drive to and from work.

>Red trim on the dash is a nice touch along with the red carbon weave pattern in the seats.

>Platinum white pearl has a lot more metal flake in it compared to the white orchid pearl from what I can tell.

>Exhaust noise supplement: very subtle and like magic. I have no idea where/how its working but its a Goldilocks amount of sound for me. Havent ripped on it yet (still only 200 miles on her) so I cant give a full eval but so far so good. Only seems to work in sport mode.
Thanks for the comparison. Iā€™m still glad I went with the 2019 Civic SI Coupe. The shortened final drive doesnā€™t do it for when it comes to long trips. I also couldnā€™t handle the fake exhaust sound, it would drive me nuts. I do like the all black wheels, and LEDā€™s. But those can be gotten for the price difference of the 2019 compared to the 2020.

The leds alone are a 800$ upgrade. Especially if you go oem led housings.

BG Syncro Shift II and Redline MTL are far better than Amsoil

You wouldn't regret it!
