I've got an aging desktop that's sporting a watercooled 3570k in a tiny case (I actually swapped cases within the last year and got rid of the stock cooler, as it would thermally throttle at times. I wanted to be able to OC it to death as needed to keep it relevant and didn't want to start a new build with mobo/cpu/DDR4. The 3570k replaced a Q6600 build that was running 4.0 Ghz, up from 2.4 Ghz at it's end-of-life)... ITX board. It's using a 1070 GTX now... it had a 670 gtx when it was originally built. Some random SSD and a couple HDDs. I use it mostly for school work and, for gaming, Sniper Elite 4 is the only think I play much, on and off. I've got a steam library of games that's probably in the ~350 range I've been buying as soon as it became a thing, but work/family/college takes up most of the time. I had a old Samsung R580 laptop I'd replaced the screen and keyboard in over the years that finally bit the dust earlier this year I replaced with an HP gaming laptop... it's in a Pavillion chassis but it's pretty much the guts on an Omen. I didn't need it to game, but I figured I'd get it w/the 6 core CPU and 1060 GTX so it at least could game lightly if I decide I want to take it underway and rot my brain if I have any spare time.

I did get a PS4 a year or two back, but other than playing Just Dance with the kids, it mostly collects dust. The old lady occasionally will pop in a new Resident Evil game when one comes out, but I'm pretty sure she hasn't opened the plastic wrap on RE2 that I got her earlier this year.

If anyone ever plays Sniper Elite 4 on survival mode and see's my screen name, you're welcome to shoot Nazis with me. I think it's one of the few politically correct "bad" things we're still allowed to do.

A little Sniper Elite 4. That’s about it. I just don’t have to time to get wrapped up in something new.

Warzone. It is so infuriating that I almost uninstall it everyday. That's how you know a game is good right?

Man... I’m still rocking a water cooled ivy bridge I5 in a case the size of a shoebox with a 1070 GTX that replaced the original 670 a year or two back when their new prices dipped under $300 when the 2xxx-series was about to release. I got a looong time out of the Q6600 it replaced... and I was burning it up at 4 ghz up from its original 2.4 when I finally let it go. I don’t play CPU intensive games most times... though I did crank it up some for GTA4 when I was playing that.

Beautiful build @Civic17siYAY . I’ve always been a function over form (I’ve got a 2 TB, 4 TB and a SSD in my tiny thing. There’s essentially no airspace other than a slot over the mobo left in my case, hence the need to water cool to be effect at all... but it does work well on those notoriously hot IBs) kind of guy. As to the Browning, my wife likes them. The shrank 1911 fits her little hands perfect. Never had one... but I keep an eye out on armslist if one ever pops up for a song. I bought my first 1911 last year in a cash+trade. It’s one of these.

I’ve been a Smith and Wesson revolver and random semi-auto guy most my life but figured I ought to get a 1911 since a century of love must have been for something. Shot it a few times... it hasn’t grown on me yet, but I haven’t swapped it out yet. People gush over the Sig .380 and 9mm compact 1911-style guns. I like how the Browning went the miniaturized service gun route over the pocket gun route.

Im a huge fan of 1911s. I absolutely loved the browning until I shot it. Way too small for my hand. I orginally bought it as a shorts and t shirt carry but soon found out that With a two handed grip i cant engage the grip safety due to my hand size
Also I couldnt find a holster for it anywhere so it instantly got added to the "i hate you pile". Fits the gfs hand perfectly though which is the only reason i haven't traded it in. Lol

Yeah. I’d shot a handful of Kimbers and Springfield’s in years past and decided something in my life must be missing w/o owning one. I’m not sure if that’s really come to pass... but... well... I have one. It’s also my first four-nickel. Had piles of 9s... 40s... 38/357s... 380s. Too many 22s. Just never messed with a 45.

I had to get surgery on my right wrist years back. It’s pretty good but I definitely feel it. I really want a 44 mag and even thought of getting a full-size 45 just to convert to a 460 Rowland. I have absolutely no need for it but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve had this itch to go big.

Back to the topic... I did go back and look at when intel has now-a-days and how AMD has really come on. I’d gotten into making little computers and for a while, was thinking of trying to make a PC that’d fit in one pocket powered by a AMD APU with an external laptop-style power supply cord in the other (deep cargo pockets mind you). This whenever there was all the steam box buzz. I had a SB-E server style as a desktop between this IB and the old LGA775 Q6600. I had the IB and SB-E in different rooms. Mobo died on the SB-E and I started parting it out to fix others computers. Still have the Antec case and the dead board, cpu and the Noctura aircooler in the closet if I ever want to repurpose it. I just got interested in small stuff. The tiny ITX-whatever-it-is only has one GPU slot, so no SLI and only 2 ram slots so upgrades require outright replacements instead of add-one but it’s worked well. Deceptively heavy for its size. It has 2 HDDs, a 2 and 4 TB... SSD... 1070... water cooling loop w/the radiator inside right behind the front fan.

I just downloaded sniper elite 4. Ill keep an eye out for you. Also, shes missing out on the RE2, it is an awesome game. If you two havent played RE biohazard yet that is another one id add to the must play. My gf and I took turns playing through sections of the game and it was awesome. One of my favorite games to date.

Screen name is EMNCS Dicky Rivers as I recall. I play coop survival mode here and there. Be happy to kill some nazis with you*.
*(Disclaimer: Last I heard, killing nazis was still politically correct. Maybe the last thing...)
