Nope. it just takes a little longer to get your kit because he has to order a core himself and then machine it (or whatever). Once you do the install, have your mechanic give you everything he took off your car and then send Eman the flywheel and he will reimburse you the $250 shortly after he receives. It is mad easy. I was worried at first but everything went perfectly. The website he created would have been nice at the time. Now it is even easier!

How long did it take for him to ship your kit once you placed the order?

In the past waits could be one week or a month now the process is 2 weeks from order and the ship now price is no core basically we buy a new 1.5 flywheel and just pull the starter ring off that

Thanks for clearing that up!
I placed my order with you today and am looking forward to getting the kit!

@k20z3allmotor If I were to choose the core return option for $1480 and hypothetically never return the core or it takes a really long time to return the core what would happen? Not sure why theres an upfront price difference between the two. Just genuinely curious. I ask this because I really want to get this kit now before its gone but I don’t know when i can get it installed meaning it could be months or even a year before it happens. Thanks.

If you choose the core return option, the seller will not ship your product until he receives your core.

No. I contacted Emmanuel and was told to pick the core return option if I'm going to be returning a core. I explained that this would obviously happen after I had the new clutch installed and he told me to still pick core return.

I think he just builds your kit from an existing used core he has around the shop.

While we would like u to send the core back ASAP I don’t put time limits on them, I buy used flywheels periodically and I have had some people take half a year to send me their core back even when the core refund was 400-500 dollars. As long as it’s not more than a year I’m good with that

Here in Toronto what we've done to keep cores rotating is find multiple owners who will be doing the retrofit; one particular tech at one shop coordinates with Eman to send the core and receive the retrofit kit, complete the car, then repeat the process. Our downtime is very little, as my car's going to be done this weekend :)

You just have to get the first person going - in my case the tech also has an Si which he started off with the retrofit, then a couple other guys came, and now myself. If you can band up with locals, it will really help reduce the downtime.

If you can't or don't want to do that, just purchase it as it, and get the money back later on when Eman receives the core :dunno:

I may just end up buying the kit now and setting an appointment to get it installed directly at his shop when I have the time. I live about 5-6 hours away.

Best case scenario :)

I visited his shop when I was in SoCal last month, and picked up part of my kit that I was able to bring back on my flight.

I ordered on the 19th and received it yesterday.
So pretty quick considering there was a holiday in there and shipping companies are swamped.
